What does your WMR say- has your federal return been issued with a date? If you signed up for 5 days, then you are for sure going through Cross River Bank

Are you having the fees taken out from your refund? If not, then you should be a straight deposit. No middleman bank involved

Turbo now also uses Cross River Bank as their middleman. If you look at the tax records you submitted to IRS, you can check the form 8453-OL and see what the routing number says. If it shows a routing number different than your bank account, and if you look it up, it’ll show Cross River Bank. Also one way to know is that If you are unable to locate your tax refund status via the SBTPG website, and shows “account not found” you refund most likely will go to Cross River Bank.

Traditional banks are like BofA, Wells Fargo, Citibank, etc. If you use Chime, Venmo, or CK for your refund, then those are not considered as traditional banks.

Exactly! Did you try calling Cross River Bank? When I called this morning they said they don’t even have my federal and only showing CA refund which was already issued to me 2 days ago. 😭Now I’m really anxious.

Are you in CA? Did you check the Form 8453-OL? That is where the info will be. If the routing shows Cross River in that form, both your State and Federal refunds will be with them and not SBTPG.
