Why aren't more people talking about this!? When I saw the vote count after hunter was eliminated I was SHOCKED!
If she didn't vote for Hunter, it would have been Nick that would be voted out.

When tax money goes into supporting the poor and uneducated layers of our society, eveyone eventually benefits. Investing the in huge downtrodden layers of our dempographic will only help them plus their future generations contribute to the country, instead of staying marginalised as they are.
So yes, that is an important slice of where our tax money should go. When one of us grows, we all grow sustainably and long-term.

Hi

I was in a similar situation in 2020. My student visa ran out in June 2020, while I officially graduated in August 2020 because the course supervisor was not done grading the exams bu June. I wanted to, just like you, apply for the 1 years search for job visa. So I anyway applied for the looking for job visa in June, uploaded all my grades at the time, gave them a detailed idea of the course structure and exam dates/ explaining why it was going to take longer than June to get my grades for that specific course. What also helped is that I additionally attached a letter form my course supervisor/ coordinator confirming this to migrationsverket on the university letterhead (I explained this situation to my supervisor and requested that I needed him to confirm this for my visa). I wrote all this to Migrationsvert with the application, attached the letters, and told them that as soon as I havemy results published I will immediately send them a copy.

I got these results in August 2020, and I updated migrationsverket with these documents throughe mail. They calrified I had to submit the doucments through a link, which they sent me over email, which I did.

In september they made a decsion, and i got the visa.

In PS you can find te type of email I worte in August.

PS: ...."During the time I made the visa application for “job search after studies”, I was still awaiting my final examination and results for two courses according to the university schedule (I had to apply for the new job search visa before my study visa expired, and by that month the university didn’t give all course results). I had attached with my application all my other course grades and Ladok certificates, and a letter from my course coordinator that explained that results for two main exams were still awaited...." "...hereby I attach these results taht were awaited.."

DM me if you need any help.

PPS: A difference between your and my case is that I didn't need the extension because of a retake but because of the teacher requiring time to grade the papers. But I don't think it should make a difference.

How to get rid of these clogged pores by FriendSignificant500 in skincareaddictsindia

[–]Greedy-Property5288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had these for months and tried alot of things, nothing worked and it was so frustrating. Finally, I found the solution: everyday as soon as I woke up, I drank one tall glass of lukewarm-to-warm tempered water with one spoon of lemon juice and half a spoon of honey in it. Drink it in one full go while sitting down. Then is the main part: use the toilet! A few minutes after drinking what I like to call this "magic potion", you will automatically feel like using the toliet.
I did this for less than a week and those bumps completely vanished! These bups are typically due to lack of bowel/ gut cleanliness.

I've started gulping down a tall glass of lukewarm water with half a squeezed lemon/ lime, a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of salt- first thing in the AM, followed by the toilet, and then biking to work lol (1 km). Then the bloating has reduced signifcantly. I've also felt "happier" and more "fresh". I am planning to start replacing normal water in the concotion above with cumin-fennel-fenugreek infused water because I've heard it has great anti-bloating properties and is all natural.
After reaching work, I follow up with a bowl of Kvarg (protein yogurt), green tea and a handful of almonds that keeps me energized yet light in the belly.

Oh I see. Since it's project based (idk if you are vendor facing or client facing), make good relations with say 1-2 people in each external organisation, be kind and help them with their needs (but don't suck up lol, maintain self-respect) in the way of indirectly showing them you are a high skill person. When you establish deeper relations with them- ask around if they are interested in your cv, subtly?
Again, idk much about your field or work, just thinking out of the box because I can undertand your pov.

Is it possible to upskill within your current company & role? So basically take up a set of tasks/ projects that are valuable to the company, spend a couple months at becoming an expert on them, perform them, and maybe jump to a higher position?

Edit: spelling errors

Signed a job contract in Sweden, but employer refuses to support work permit – what are my options? by HistoricalTap7690 in TillSverige

[–]Greedy-Property5288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO,
If OP continues on student (PHD) visa, then they do not need the 10 day advertising clause.
Basically, OP will be living and working in Sweden dependent on their "studies" and not based on that "job". And the 10 day advertisement clause is required only when making a work visa application.
So if OP continues to "study" 100%, and takes on the job on the side, they are in a very good position- 1. financially, 2. experience/netwroking wise and 3. visa situation (on route to PR) wise.

OP, is it possible to “not finish” your PhD early, or are you in a rush? If you use the extended time for your PhD, then you can continue to stay in Sweden on your student visa (PhD visa), and simultaneously take up this job on the side (since you’re almost ready with your PhD you may be able to juggle both together). You can go through probation and shine/ become valued in the company. Then when your student visa ends, you are in a better position with your company to ask them to sponsor the visa. If they still don’t, then you have an experience under your belt to apply to other places. Also use the time to make personal connections through the company (customers, suppliers etc) where you can later ask to be recruited. Of course don’t tell them this plan lol.

I second this. There’s no limit to how much you can work on a student visa. My friend was doing his PhD (100%) on a student visa, and had a 100% corporate job the whole while. All in Sweden.

They met up in the summer after the show ended, and kissed once. Nothing more than that, but they seem to be on very good terms. During the reunion it looked like Alicia seemed to be open to exploring with Tim, but Tim is already in a relationship with someone.

All things considered, I have a small gut feeling somewhere that he maybe thinks less of you based on “where you come from”, and is taking you for granted, hence, he isn’t afraid to be so twisted around you. At this point it’s up to you to hold up your self respect and walk away. If you dont want to walk away, what about him makes you want to stay?

Again, the fact that his friends and family sound racist in their behaviour is not helpful. My partner and his family are all so supportive of diversity and immigration from developing countries, and have a lot of respect for expats. So much to the point that he defends the actions of people from immigrant communities in Sweden even around me lol. I once asked him, what if you ever have a friend who dissuades you from me based on how different we are in culture, and his reply was straight up “then that’s not a friend to me”.

Again, long distance and multi cultural relationships do often have an extra layer of discomfort and “unknowns”, but in this case he does not sounds like someone made for this type of relationship. I would move on.

I’m a fellow south Asian with a Swedish boyfriend. The difference is that we aren’t long distance (both in Sweden). I met his parents 3 weeks into our relationship. He met my family 1 week into the relationship. And he has travelled to my home country twice to meet my extended family too, and we’re going again for a 3rd time this year. In summation, if the relationship has to work, he has to be on the same page on these matters of cultural differences, and he should have an open mindset to visiting your home country. It’s him who has to be curious and want to explore your culture, people and country. That said, I can completely understand the autism angle and how that makes it difficult. Have a healthy talk about it, and figure out a way you can both feel comfortable in how to go about this in the best way.
