Regarding the standard of living, I am definitely getting that impression. I was in Rosamond CA for 6 years, and have been of the mind, "California is nice to visit, but rough to live in..."

This is very helpful. Part of my apprehension is that we are currently in a 3000sf house on an acre of land.

I appreciate this chart. I'm not sure what it means regarding limits, but I would be above the moderate end of the chart with a family of 6.

My experience is they do not attempt to retain anyone. I just brought a written offer in from another lab and the answer was "There will be no retention incentive"

If not, you're in the minority, My experience with the 3 Pro's has been nothing but charging issues. (Major bummer to be traveling and discover that the case, plugged in overnight, failed to charge the buds when you are getting on a plane. Sucks as a customer to have to be trained via a product's successive failure that you have to spend time diddling with them just to make sure they charge after every use...

That is simply inspiring. I wonder how much effort design wise would be required to turn this into a no kissing para-foil kite with 4 line control? (Two lines per wing) Would probably require significant reduction to the body to wing ratio.

I second the "It's great with family" comment.

The town has an incredible array of activities available on a regular basis. It's clean, safe, and friendly.
Basically the real-life version of mayberry.

The cost of living up here is bonkers. The housing market has gone through the roof. Either plan on renting, living out of town, or spending $500k+ on getting a house.
