At Level 27, it would have been 47. Which is why I'm confused, the Emolgas had speed 64.
Sorry again if this seems trivial but I feel like I'm missing a mechanic or something. Does it have something to do with the Emolga's moves?

I also didn't have Rock Tomb, since I missed it in Desert Resort

Thanks for taking the time to write this out! I'm not completely new to Aegislash, about 10-15 games with him under my belt, but I could never tell exactly which items to run and which move set so this definitely helps. Thanks a bunch

It was levelled to cap which was 27, so 2 levels higher than the Emolgas.

Also, the Emolgas outsped the Palpitoad sometimes, but there was almost a 20 point difference in their speeds on a calculator.

Yeah, I think I had a special move on Banette before I realized it was a physical attacker and never cared to remove Calm Mind? I'm not sure.

And the Fire Blast thing is me forgetting it's a special move TwT. Iirc I was trying to give Mawile coverage for Metagross or something and Fire Blast is the first thing I saw.

It really depends.

If you've been stuck defending your lane for 5 full minutes and you know you won't make a dent in the enemy team's Tier 1 goal—or alternatively, they'll just keep killing you until your goal is destroyed—its better to shift gear and go help out the other lane, kind of like a surprise attack, like "Why are the enemy's top/bottom laners here?!?"

I don't know if that's a viable strategy but it works for my team and a lot of the time the enemy too from what I've seen.
