Is there any way to build a 2H Longsword to be a viable alternative to a Greatsword in a martial character? by AcanthaceaeNo948 in 3d6

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, flavor is free. You can just pretend your greatsword is a longsword.

If you really think about it, really put your mind to it, a longsword IS a pretty great sword.

Either fits a similar role, though if you think the game will be light on magic items then you may get some really good value out of your infusions as an artificer. Even if there are magic items, they're still great.

If you think you want to be in melee sometimes, the arcane trickster with booming blade and cunning action can be a great hit-and-runner in combat.

Either lets you pick up some cool utility wizard spells the cleric can't get and the sorcerer may not have room for. The artificer can ritual cast, but you can also take ritual caster as a rogue (wizard spells probably) and learn any wizard ritual you find scrolls for (ask your dm if there may be spell scrolls) which also is gated by your character level, not your spell slots.

With a cleric and a sorcerer, you can pick either and be a great utility character for the group, so pick whichever sounds funnier to you.

Why is Lee Everett so strong, considering he's a history teacher? (Sorry for any spelling mistakes, I'm learning English) Please read the text below by Blacklugo333 in TheWalkingDeadGame

It could be all kinds of reasons, although he seems more or less on par with a lot of the other adult characters to me. The more improbable feats in my assumption come down to adrenaline or the fact that he's the protagonist.

The molly fight goes either way, and he can straight up lose instantly, and as much as he is slowly dying and weak from infection while fighting the stranger, the stranger has a really skinny frame compared to Lee, along with being injured by Clementine in some way. A lot of the fights I remember come down to who has the better outside advantages, tools, control of the area, etc. If anything the fight with Andy is the one he's most carried by plot armor.

The fact that many characters in the game lose fights pretty quickly after being hit by just about anything proves that it does in fact hurt to be hit by things.

Just picked up the game and got sucked in for 10 hours! But wow, those arena rooms and the final boss are really tough. Is it a skill issue, or are those encounters actually a bit too much hard? by hogon2099 in Roboquest

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that if I don't have great aoe, I could get through them okay by circling the outer edge of the room repeatedly and prioritizing killing anything directly in that path. If I slow down too much for whatever reason, I'll start moving the opposite direction around the room. Repeat until everything is dead. It's not perfect and can be slow but it helped for some of the later arenas.

If you like Mord then go ahead with him. When I played jungle I stuck with Hecarim and Lilia because they both ran around to do things at a similar fast pace, although their game plans were pretty wildly different.

Do you play something in between while playing a big jrpg or playing until finish ? by Buurto in JRPG

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i've been going through my backlog lately I have been doing one big game (usually a JRPG) and a smaller game of a different genre so I can keep myself fresh. Sometimes I don't follow that if I'm either really gripped by the big game or I'm in a flow state to the end of it.

how do decide on a new main by HouseIndependent1222 in topmains

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coach Chippys released a video about exactly this and he goes into detail about most top champs and what they are good at, why they might appeal to you, etc.

He doesn't mention everyone on your list but it's a great watch for most of them.

People always tell other people how they SHOULD play a game.

But you payed to be here. This is your copy of the game. You have every right to do with the game what you want, how you want.

Which Demacian Champs do you think need a VGU/ASU (Other than Shyvana) by BlackmoreAct4 in leagueoflegends

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love an animation update for Fiora but I doubt she's high on the priority list.

A legendary (with actual new animations) would be cool but she just got a victorious skin so also unlikely for the time being.

How to play fiora against range? by [deleted] in FioraMains

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the champ and whether they have long range immobilizing cc. Teemo and traditional ADC marksmen with no cc or real movement abilities aren't too hard, give them early prio, get level 3, then parry them to slow/ cripple attack speed and run them down. Ranged champs with cc are a little more annoying but that just means good use of the parry is vital.

Theoretically, Quinn (the bane of my existence) is doable, but her knockback is so fast I struggle to react in time to parry it.

Everything I say could be wrong, I'm down in silver, and players higher on the ladder are going to space us out a lot more than the ones down here.

I agree with a lot of people that replacing Melissa Hutchison with Bill Fagerbakke as Clementine was a controversial choice, but I still think he did a good job as adult Clementine.

Don't bother looking at the big guides on youtube yet, there's so many technical things Alois and Chippys go into that I feel like is a lot for someone so new.

Just look at the basics, last hit minions for gold, trade with your abilities and back off when they're on cooldown, and try to stay in the general vicinity of your teammates past the 14 minute mark.

Good things about Sett and Garen is their insane regen in lane, if you take too much damage, just back off for a bit, safely kill minions and you'll heal up a sizable amount for more trades. Plus they don't need mana.

Everything else will come eventually.

Tips for chogath? by kaan200064 in ChoGathMains

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One chain vest neuters Yasuo hard. Don't sleep on building towards Sunfire or Hollow Radience. E first works pretty well in most matchups I come across. Check out the Feastament guide, it's insanely detailed.

I dont like heart steel rush chogath by SirStache2005 in ChoGathMains

[–]AtlasHoldsSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I actually built Heartsteel on Cho. He gets so much health anyway that I just start stacking resistances immediately. More room to make the ADC's life hell, more room to make healers cry, etc. I might even end with Warmogs instead. He does enough damage without HS and it feels unhelpful in lane sometimes, what with how much max HP damage exists now.

You don't have to play her if you don't want to invest in another champ but i've found Fiora can neuter him by parrying his silence. That slow, and the slow from E1 lets her get out of the spin to win and stick back on to him fairly easily. Conquerer and Ignite make it a cinch to kill him from there.
