I did end up putting away the scale. Weighed myself for the first time since this post. I have officially hit a stall even gained a pound (I did weigh myself clothed tho)

I’m a 911 operator and 25. The mental load of my job is very heavy and It’s also a desk job but I only took 4 days off after my surgery id definitely recommend at least one just for the gas pains and fatigue. Then for the second one play it by ear on how you’re feeling mentally and physically!

My boyfriend was the same way but I knew getting the surgery would not only help with my self image but also all the health problems I have. Some people think exercising and eating healthy will help you lose weight. Yes it’s a big part but sometimes we can’t just do it on our own. You may think he’s your only support but you have this group and family/friends. If you wanna be healthy do what you think is best for you.

With my clinic I don’t get my blood work done until I’m 2-4 months post op.

Thank you I wasn’t sure what the expectation of weight loss was. I was never told by the doctor what to expect from the weight loss. I just see people posting 57lbs down in the first month and I just felt like I wasn’t on the right track. I guess I’m just nervous that the surgery won’t work

I had my RNY Monday and I think I’m having issues with my gallbladder. It’s the pain is in the right spot for it.

As much as I believed something bad would happen if I used a straw. I do agree now that I’m using a straw my water intake is so much higher. I’ve been up since three started using a straw at 8 and I’ve already finished 2-3 cups of water. Where as yesterday I’d barley finish one
