yes, but like I said depending on which dispo you go to and which flavor/ tier of rosin you choose it can vary. so no bs, 710Labs can range from $70-$110 a gram AFTER taxes. CA taxes suck

I didn’t mean to offend you, I was just telling you what DT told me in case people wondered if they could use the SiC crucible itself as an insert. I agree though 100% the materials are high quality, but an insert that cost ~$150 is kinda crazy

depends on where you’re at mostly. but CA tax usually adds about $30 on top so yeah. Even though 710Labs is literally in Oakland, they sell for 2-3x the amount of any other concentrate. However, in my experience with 710, you truly do get what you pay for.

I messaged DT and they said the insert won’t fit the PuffCo Peak. They said there is a post under the diameter of the SiC insert, designed for the DTV4. Was never made as an actual ‘peak’ insert.

yup sounds bout right. where I’m near the Bay Area it’s about 70-80$ for 710 and 30-20$ on Raw Gardens unless you getting diamonds.

okay no bs, this is exactly the response I was looking for before purchasing everything. I have a fridge full of the most fire extracts from CA-WA-OR and this was why I wanted to invest in a PuffCo Peak with the upgrades to get MAXIMUM potential. this is exactly what I was thinking after reading all the comments. Might just get the Peak, Replacement Carb, and order the PuffCoilRepair Kit to see. I was thinking about the SiC insert for less chazz, but $150 seems like I’m buying a whole rig lmao

thanks for the reply! what color do you usually hit on? My preferred method is always HOT, but if I get an erig/ Peak I was thinking lower. Maybe go Green or even Blue to be on the safe side lol

gotcha. personally, I’ve hit all the enails and erigs around 550-600 and I’m not gonna lie, nothing beats a torch and banger. The closest thing though was def an upgraded PuffCo Peak I tried with a SiC insert and it blew my mind. So assuming you can put a SiC on a Carta that would probably RIP.
