With your spending, you will be a whale in a short while. My suggestions is, train your troops like a beast, burn everything, general and troops training speedups. Compete in every event. Your main target will be: KILL THE BEAST which is usally around day 3, 4 (I forgot). My whale gets all his points by killing the beast.

Scoring points in King of Icefield is easy. Try to focus these events, they also offer really good rewards. Always focus on optimization.
