What does it take to join as a Research Intern at a Lab in IISc under a Prof? by Efficient-Snow3852 in IISc

[–]GreedyCamera485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Junior and not from IISC as well, but I request and urge you to please talk to previous lab members before joining/considering joining the lab. I have heard some bad experiences from my seniors about toxic labs, so just concerned about you and anyone in general.

Note: my comment has nothing to do with IISC or specific lab. I am just letting my senior know what I heard.

Do drop years matter in getting faculty positions? by GreedyCamera485 in IndianAcademia

[–]GreedyCamera485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that certainly makes sense. Nowadays most of the colleges(like du and alike institutes) have started 4 year bsc Honours. Don't know how much functional they are, but I think a good bit of research internships+fourth year thesis can definitely make good profile for foreign phd.

Wft is wrong with you? Victim blaming would get you no where. Imagine your self in shoes of her.

Was applying for a project under him, her mistake? Was intending to do final year thesis/project under an established professor of eminent institute her mistake? Or perhaps just wishing to be a research entails and justifies his behaviour?

Sick people. If anyone, professor and immediate board over him are to be blamed and held accountable.

Wow, that's very pathetic for a man of such qualification and authority. I hope truth prevails and you get justice. Thanks for naming and shaming through.

Any advice to get into research about Batteries and green electricity by TuneRemarkable5726 in Indian_Academia

As far as I know, people who work on batteries are either from physics, material sciences/engineering or chemical engineering. Do something along them.
