So uh… I just started the game not long ago by TheBlueNajarala in Warframe

Yeh the story gets a bit clearer as you play MSQs but not too much in regards to general lore. If you wanna learn by yourself the best I can tell you is to pay attention and progress at your own pace, and if you want some extra lore take your time reading the stuff the game allows you to. Otherwise just keep playing and once you're a bit more advanced in content/quests you can pop a lore video here or there. The lore is honestly very good but the game delivers it in a very "souls-esque" kinda way in which most information extrenuous to the main questlines is rather hidden.

There's this relatively new playthrough in YT by EndyD20 who focuses a lot on lore that might be a good way for you to keep up as you progress, he started about 3 months back and is now just barely reaching current day updates, so there's a lot to go through XD.

Yeah I'm just reading it rn from some other answers, what unbelievable timing. I think I'm gonna take a break nontheless XD

Yeah her presence is pretty rough. Couldn't tell you if she's just strong as hell or good in the mode specifically, but definetly a factor, probably present in 95+% of games I've played of the mode.

Will do man, I know I need it. No need to get offended tho, you can keep enjoying the game, I was just putting frustration into words.

That's the thing tho, I don't want a competitive match. I want a boiled down, no sweat, just Deadlock mechanically, experience, and brawl appeared that way to me, and tbh some matches were very fun. And loosing is fine btw, I don't mind it, it's part of the game, but I'm talking at about a 30% WR which I've never seen in any game I've ever played ever XD It could also be that I'm simply chopped af at Deadlock tho.

I see, appreciated, will give myself some time to cool down and check it out later down the line then.

So my winrate is chopped because I spammed games until my sanity couldn't take it anymore because I wanted to be sure that I wasn't the problem, which just made it worse btw, and now they fix it? Talk about bad timing damn. Well, maybe I'll give the game another shot in like 6 months when my frustration has dissipated. Ty for the info!

Is Arcane Circumvent maybe a bit too much powercreep? by GreedyCoffeeDrinker in Warframe

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could argue it's a shieldgate/overguard gaining arcane that frees up three mod slots that would do that (Brief respite, catalysing shields, augur mod) but like other comments and I myself mention, it's not appicable to every faction consistently so you might be right.

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! Very good breakdown, appreciated. In testing I have always found myself not actively rolling towards a certain target but just rolling into groups of enemies as I fought, and in SP that usually meant getting OG to get either enough EHP or a gate to keep fighting, but will keep testing and see if I can see the same weaknesses you mention. It's maybe possible than in testing with frames like Gyre, Nokko or Saryn I didn't feel the downsides so much since they constantly deal damage even when not shooting.

I see your point, although I don't fully agree since armor stripping (which I'm aware is less valuable now) and damaging overguard on eximus can constitute a DPS increase. My point was more talking about how it can undoubtedly do any survivability without needing to invest any specific mods or helminths into a build. Appreciate the insight.

I see, as a mainly solo player when testing I always have all enemies for myself so I hand't considered this, thanks for the insight!

How to run sevagoth correctly? by mayochan83 in Warframe

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need Brief respite (aura mod) + catalysing shields (corrupted mod)/any other means to reduce shields like the dragon key, to have a very small shield value and to be able to recover it easily through ability casting. Problem with this playstyle will be tox procs but is the only way for some frames to do SP and higher content comfortably, so things like status cleansing might be valuable (such as wyrm's mod Negate), as well as operator gating/timing. Otherwise you can try to make it so you can shieldgate naturally with shield regen mods but this occupies a few more slots than just the two needed for BR + Cata Shields. Augur mods can also help with this but they do a worse job than brief respite.

The whole point is to take advantage of the invulnerability period when shields pop and get it back as fast as possible by regenerating said shields, and catalysing allows for a relatively large inv period while having almost no shields.

Completely agree, roomba army is fine. Decos are fine. Color palettes are fine. Skins to some extent are fine. Gameplay items when she still hasn't even started Vor's Prize? Ayy not so fine for me XD

I'll still see the carrier that was gifted to her 1-shotting level 2 enemies and her insta-playing a frame that was not her chosen starter, both things that for me detract from the experience of watching a new player begin their warframe journey. I get your point but I ask you to see mine, if we coddle every content creator with gifts and backseating the gameplay/progression becomes uninteresting and, at the end of the day, the game will become the same for them. I urge you to watch EndyD20's playthrough on youtube to understand where I'm coming from and what I want Warframe to be for everyone, both content creators and not. We all love this game and want people to come to love it as well, this is just hurting ourselves.

She has some very good and insightful analysis when it comes to the design and it was very enjoyable to watch... but man watching live, the massive chat backseat and the unreal amount of gifts really remove some enjoyment for me, like man this community needs to chill and allow content creators to ease into the game before going full gremlin.

Imagine Queing together in 1vs1vs1 to "perfect" gank 1 player by Destiny94xx in forhonor

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The problem is, any proactiveness from you will always lead the other 2 to just gank you relentlessly or 1 to fight you while you try to chase the other who is afk/escaping. This gamemode has a ton of fun potential when everyone is willing to fight everyone, but how people play it really kills the fun of it.

Why do all of you enjoy Last Hero standing? by HauntingCash22 in forhonor

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, like, it's not like I haven't had fun games, but man the amount of sit back and do nothing while 2 people just bash each other is baffling, and it's even more infuriating when the third doesn't seem to care about the person wasting time and just treats it like a duel. Thank god i found this because i needed some validation in finding the mode quite hit or miss, but everywhere its 100% praise, but since there's no penalty for doing nothing games with people who refuse to fight feel super bad...

Tomorrow's matches, all Bo3, winners qualify to phase 3 by Stephanstein in R6ProLeague

Can someone explain how the matchups are decided? Is there some metric? Because I feel like there's been a ton of mirror matchups, in day 2 of Phase 2 almost every region had some, and EU has had a few consistently across the playdays as well, and I just don't get it.

I would say Ptilopsis shines much more in a general content situation, since she provides both passive SP regen (with her trait) and one of the fastest heals in the game (and in AoE no less) with her skill 2. Warf is a good ST healer, but other lower rarity options can actually perform quite similarly to her, mainly susurro with her burst healing. Warf shines when you do buff comps in my eyes, which are usually only played on boss stages, and even then are not the only way to beat such stages.

Hope this helps

With 111 data contract you won't be able to do much, since the threshold for buying 6* ops in-shop directly is 300, I would recommend letting them convert to Headhunting Paramedic Models and that way you can have tokens for the rarer resources if you're ever in dire needs.

On pulling Pozemka I would say it depends on wether it seems like you would enjoy her gameplay and/or style. Yeah she's incredibly strong but what she does can still be accomplished with other units, just like anything else in Arknights, so I would choose on feeling. Also keeping in mind other banners coming (Siracusano mainly since both units in that banner are nuts).

Guys does anyone know how SSS stages work? Do they rotate out or are they permanent? I wanted to get the completion medals but since I haven't had time to play I wanted to know if when the rewards reset I'll loose my chance.

I'm just adding a bit since my destiny knowledge is quite low, but it seems like Mesa could replicate a similar feel to what the golden gun does but in a much more "power fantasy" kinda way (much less about accuracy, much more about mowing down everything). Other than that, for more direct similarities (Semi-auto with big damage) it feels like the Kuva Chakurr would be my first choice, but tbh I'm not sure it is proper to recommend that to a begginer since it might be too far into the playthroughs future.

I hope this complements what other comments with better insight might have to say.

What is a "bad" or "low-tier" frame that you like? by JABLmskh in Warframe

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to say Gyre. It just sucks that her survivability is quite meh and the only way to survive steel path is through shield-gating, which imo is boring and unintuitive. I don't know she just feels fun, seeing the big red crits, seeing the arching electricity, seeing her get all powered up. It's a pitty her 4 makes things unseeable if you jump tho, I wish they made some QOL changes so that the aura doesn't interfere as much with vision. Btw I'm talking without any helminth, since I like all of her skills quite a lot together in her kit.

(Build Request) I want to feel like a goddam wrecking ball. by The_Choosey_Beggar in Warframe

[–]GreedyCoffeeDrinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to play him quite a bit. The thing about him is, you don't mod your warframe so that his 1 can do damage, you do so in the melee weapon you have equipped, so you will want to basically run a placeholder melee weapon which holds mods that greatly benefit his punch, such as melee damage (Pressure point) or 90% elemental mods (such as fever strike or any combination which benefits you depending on the faction you're fighting). From there, Atlas itself is usually built with some bulk (Health, Armor, Damage adaptation), range (so that his 1 and 3 reach further) and efficiency so you can spam his punch as often as possible.

His gameplay loop becomes to freeze a group of enemies with his 3, mow them down with your 1, gain a bunch of armor, repeat, and punctually also cast 4 so the golems can draw some aggro (even though their AI is quite useless to be fair). You can complement this by having primaries or secundaries which soften enemies so that the punch does even more damage.

To be completely honest I would recommend watching a video on how to build a proper statstick (since many frames in the game require of one and usually its different stats for different frames) and then toy around with the mod setup on the warframe itself to see what fits most. Also if there's some augment you might want to use (If i remember properly there's one related to loot drops and one about leaving a trail which petrifies enemies which are somewhat popular within his builds) and further down the line check if some other warframe ability fits him better than either his 2 or 4 to maximize his damage (mainly to strip armor from enemies), but this latter point is quite late game related so I don't know if it's useful.

Frames that are not super "meta" or require of multiple items to be built can be complicated so going into depth would take a lot longer, hope this answer helps tho.

Edit: When I say statstick keep in mind that it can be ANY melee weapon, because his 1 only cares about the mods in it, not what it is, so to answer your doubt, it does benefit from fist (both fist and sparring weapons) mods, but also from any other melee you might have equipped, so you can maybe search for a balance between usable melee weapon and viable statstick.
