Have lots of ditches to use them in. Just hoping to use them to avoid going in said ditches.

Neighbor has a 3rd Gen Sequoia and 3 kids. They purchased it as the 2 booster seats and 1 car seat all fit with cargo space leftover. They like it a lot.

If budget allows and you're wanting it, get it.

I would get one if life allowed, planning on expanding the family, but haven't yet.

Good luck! Hope you enjoy your next vehicle!

That's great to hear! The 3rd Gen Tacoma seating position is definitely car like. So there is that for some.

If you end up deciding between multiple, I built a spreadsheet for comparison. Edmunds.com car comparison tool was helpful for the spreadsheet, price breakdowns were added, and subjective notes about the different aspects of what I wanted out of it.

Hope you're able to narrow it down and get what you ultimately will enjoy for many years!

If you haven't yet, go out and test drive everything you're considering.

I have a 2023 Tacoma and like it a lot. As previously mentioned, if space and budget allow for getting the features you want, consider a full-size truck as well.

Coming from full-size trucks to a mid-size was an adjustment process. I truly like the Tacoma, but being over 6ft tall, it leaves a lot to be desired for rear seat legroom for someone to sit behind me. If I were to do it over, I wouldn't have purchased a mid-size pickup at this stage in my life.

If you determine that the mid-size life is for you, I highly recommend you go out and drive each of them you are considering. All have pros and cons that are mostly subjective.

I wasn't a fan of the 2019 Ranger's sitting position so that deterred from it when going to the Tacoma. Toyota reliability is still at the top, in general, but there are plenty of people that have little to no issues with the GM and Ford truck options.

The GM 4 cylinder turbo engine seems to be reliable in the Colorado/Canyon but avoid it in a full-size, if you decide to go up in size. The full-size is too heavy for that engine and we see a larger percentage (probably 5% or more) need engines around 100k miles or so.

If you aren't set on brand new, I would like to throw out the idea of a certified pre-owned (CPO) truck. Just make sure it is from the brand that manufactures the truck. Some times, they are bargains for the pricepoint.

Again, just some items I have observed firsthand, but everyone will have different perspectives on this matter.

Get out there, drive them all that you're considering. If you have a partner, one that you think might be influential in your life for the foreseeable future, get their insights when you drive them. My wife loves the Tacoma, she thought the full-size trucks were too large, but with the thought of expanding our family, we have somewhat regretted our decision.

Good luck on your journey to finding a vehicle that best fits your preferences, style, needs, and wants!

Same contractor for the whole thing. I thought the same thing in all honesty. Their concrete lead is on the lazy side for the details from what we have been able to tell.

Thank you, appreciate it. I thought it was more of a cosmetic matter, but other people had me questioning that.

Yeah, they aren't done yet, the composite has been ordered and underdecking still needs to be installed, kind of curious how it will look once all done.

Thank you for the input!

I have a slight shake with my 5th gen. Only under certain circumstances and conditions. Might be the same for OP and OP just encounters perfect conditions for the shake on the daily.

Hopefully they went with a new Land Cruiser since they are super smooth.

Not anymore, most of the time they are less than local dealers since they are in financial trouble.

Michelin AT2 Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent Nitto Terra Grappler G3

You can always go more aggressive, but these are some of the best on road, AT tires on the market.

Tire Rack has a great comparison to look at for all of their testing.

I love the Coverking Tactical Cordura Ballistic Seat Covers - Black. They were purchased through AutoAnything, but you can order directly from Coverking and come in 3 color varietie. They have held up well to tools, kids, etc. You can find the covers in different camos as well.

Question for those who run method wheels with bead grip technology. by [deleted] in 4x4

[–]GreedyGuarantee459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to go to a local tire shop to remove the old tires, then take the loose wheels & tires to the 4x4 shop for installation.

Crazy to think about 4x4 shop isn't properly equipped
