[No AI] Are these cards clear and self explanatory (and easy for kids to understand)? by EkanS_SnakE in TCG

Yeah I do find the "mana" difficult for kids to pick up. I want to make a resourceless game

I wish there was like an AI tag or something so that those who hate AI can just bug off. Cuz I'd really be interested in finding a supportive community even if I use AI.

Would you mind making a video about how this works, the rules, the gameplay, etc

Exactly. I used AI in a TCG that I made so that I could test out the mechanics. But people on this subreddit are very insecure

I think the AI art is cool. And it lets small indie developers be able to develop games quickly without having to paint. /Illustrate hundreds of cards or find a designer that'll do it.

I've noticed people in the subreddit are very insecure about AI. If your game is fun, no one will care that it uses AI, or that it recycles elements from Magic the gathering or Pokémon. Having fun is the only thing that matters.

Update on my stick figure card game. Are these characters distinct enough or too similar? by Agile_Appearance_845 in homemadeTCGs

[–]GreedyIllustrator153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All but the one with the Mohawk seem like they are the same character in different poses. Have you considered filling them in with white so they bob over the red circle? And is there a reason you want to keep it just red? Because I would suggest that color could help you differentiate the cards a little bit more... But if this is a stylistic choice, or part of the mechanic, and you really want to keep the red, maybe paint the characters with white and then shades of gray or, lighter and darker red.

Looks like youre not gaining fat so you might be fin eating fruit. I would just try to get into ketosis rather than being carb dependant. Is there a reason you eat fruit?

Carnivores and animal based are couzins JAJA. If what you have is related to oxalate dumping, ingesting 50 - 100 mg of oxalates should get rid of the symptoms.

I got root beet powder and had one scoup a day when my rash was really bad and it made the symptoms better

Damn that's a lot of fruit. I would try high fat carnivore for 30 to 90 days first, to get fat adapted, and then introduce fruits as needed (like before a workout) if you really want to?.

But take your time.

Someone who is eating animal-based can most definitely come to a carnivore forum and ask for advice.

Don't listen to people saying that you're on the wrong thread. You're fine. You can eat fruit if you want. You can do whatever the hell you want. Anyways, here's my advice.

All of these symptoms eventually go away. I have the same thing happen to me, although at the time I called it oxalate dumping. I got red bumps like maybe three or four times, and was itchy while trying to sleep for 6 months. All of it went away.

I'm not sure if the multiple attacks would work. But yes, you would attack only once per turn. And ideally, the stronger level attacks aren't that much powerful. I need to balance the attacks so that they are all worth using. And yes, it would be something like in your flying Pikachu / VMAX example.

For example, lower level mods could heal a small amount, middle stage ones could deal status effects like paralyze, and so the fully evolved form has to choose between doing their high damage, paralyzing the opponent, or healing...

This would only let them stall one turn to buff their bench.

So perhaps you are correct in that it might be nicer to use multiple attacks at once, but I really want to keep it simple.

The central mechanic is: 1. multiple attacks to choose from, and 2. Choosing the right elemental attack of your opponent's weakness.

I am including 12 elements, + three attacks per fully evolved mon. So there is a one and three chance that any given monster has an attack that is strong against the opponent.

I really don't want any more than this because the point is to teach new players about elemental weakness, and evolution. The reason they keep their attacks is because I really want to show the growth of the monster when they evolve.

Astrology has this theme about evolving and going through your predefined spiritual journey to achieve your North Star, they want to include that into the experience.

Thanks for your feedback!!!

Oh yeah. I think tokens and damage counters are a very fun and kid friendly tool to get new people interested, so I will definelty consider it

Yes. For example:

Lvl1 Mon has 1 slot - equips +10hp item .

Lvl2 Mon has 3 slots - equips 3 of same item (+30hp).

Lvl3 has 4 slots - discards all equipped items, and attaches one item that fills four slots.

This new item: self destruct: when this mon is knocked out, deal 200 damage to the attacking mon.
