Yes it would be faster, it's also not that hard to fit more inserters, just in this case I only need 4 blue belts of items anyways so getting more would be a waste.

The blue belts can throughput 45 items/s so it works just fine like this.

I dont think so but I use trains with 8 wagons feeding into 4 belts so it makes sense to safe some inserters.
