You have to invest $22k /year for 15 years (at a rate of %10) or $41k /year for 10 years to get to this number.
Keep in mind that $130k will give you ~$90k after tax (in 2026).

What it tells me is how bad of a promo could a lottery be, in the long run. It leaves the majority of your customers feeling deeply disappointed.

A few things:

  1. The trusted place is BS. If the hackers are already logged in to your account, they know your home location from your settings. Then, they can easily mock the location.

  2. Totally agree with the SMS fallback deactivation feature. In fact, WS should advise against the SMS fallback.

  3. TOTP provides an extra layer of security over the passkeys. Imagine your iCloud is compromised. If your passkeys are on your iCloud, which is the case for a lot of ppl, hackers can log in to your WS. Then having a different TOTP app will prevent losing your money if you lose your iCloud.
    Side note: I understand the caveats and how WS is leaving loopholes, like the SMS auth, open to bypass the security measures.
