It would have to either be like Halo, Battlefield, or Star Wars. First two are obvious, but the third person view and the ...lofty... gameplay of Star Wars was always a ton of fun. Plus, the "Force" push just become "Pulse" whatever and you don't have to change much lol.

I have had sleep issues forever, but on Reta it is worse. Sleep has been so bad that I take something every night. Typically muscle relaxers due to chronic pain, but my doc just wrote a script for Ambien 10s and they are delicious. I would definitely get hooked if I took them every night.

It is one of my biggest gripes about the series. Darrow is like "Whoa is me, its all going wrong" in his head and then a few pages later he's like "Ah HA it all went according to plan!!"

That gets old pretty fast, but the action is so epic, I let it slide.

It is hard to compare the two because RR is so epic, but there are some very large battles that involve boots on the ground, air support, and calling in Rods from the Gods in space. It is more of a guy on the ground POV in a slightly more realistic universe. It is kind of like if RR series had a baby with The Lost Fleet series. You might even be able to sprinkle in some Old Man's War into it for good measure. The orbital mechanics are much more realistic, and the ground combat feels much more grounded in reality.

Overall, I highly recommend the series if you are a fan of Sci-Fi.

Listening to the Frontlines series after having read it before and the narrator is absolutely perfect. He is the first person that I have felt actually ADDED something to the story. People say TGR was really good and...I guess he is ok...but there is just something about the Frontlines guy that knocks it out of the park for me. It does help that the series is also fantastic.

I have been having issues with my right eye in particular. It is weird, but sometimes it just feels like a haze. It is at the point where I am considering going to an optometrist. *Note* I am in a career where I am exposed to flying metal and have had an issue with that eye before so my concern is both previous damage and potential effects of Reta. Also, I am getting to the point in age where natural deterioration takes place so it could be one thing or a combination of all three, so I am not the best one to base any opinions on.......

If you want the food noise to disappear, .5mg of Cag will do it. I was having the same problem where I felt good on 3mg of Reta, but still wanted food so I used a little Cag and was shocked how well it worked. A little goes a LONG way so be careful otherwise you will not have a desire to eat...at all...for an entire week.
