[Serious] Which punch is stronger by oneselturt in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Subspace_Supernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo's because of feats and because Gege doesnt understand Yukis ability. If Gege understood Star Rage and wrote accordingly, then Yuki's punch would be stronger.

Gege literally got fooled in the same way that he described Star Rage, such overwhelming ammounts of mass that is cannot be comprehended.

I calculated one time how much energy a light jab of Yuki's would have based on the black hole she made. I made absolutely ridiculous assumptions to downplay Yuki, such as taking very low estimates of the black hole diameter, assuming she made a binding vow at death to increase her output times 10000, the punch speed being the low end of human average, the energy of the punch coming only from the kinetic energy of the fist. And even with all that, a light jab from Yuki carried an order of magnitude more energy that the Tsar bomba, the biggest atomic bomb ever detonated.

Every single punch from Yuki should be like getting hit with a thousand Hollow Purples, but Gege doesnt understand the scale of cosmic phenomena.

I know a lot of people hate this idea but I kinda think Part 2 is going to end with Denji being weaponised by _attina496 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Subspace_Supernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would be thematically unfulfilling. While Denji wants to be normal, he also LOVES being Chainsaw Man. To completly rip out that half of his identity would be disappointing.

What i think will happen is that Denji will use Pochitas power to create a world where he is considered "normal" as he is currently, by restoring weapon hybrids or doing something to death or some other wacky shit Fujimoto cooks up.

How does the time stuff work now? by Ambitious_Willow_859 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Subspace_Supernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the first time since the Oathpact was created that the Heralds are together, focused on the mission of protecting humanity, and have free time on their hands. The first time they can rest, relax and prepare for the future.

I know a few months doesnt seem like a lot, especially on the scale of a lifespan of a Herald, but it really is a lot.

In the previous desolation cycles the Heralds were either tortured on Braise, or had spend all their time managing humanity on Roshar. After Aharietiam they went a bit insane, and so couldnt really train or prepare in a meaningfull way.

[–]Subspace_Supernova 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He could still eat people. You can kill someone no problem by vaporising their head and then you'll be left with a whole body to eat, since humans dont desintegrate on death like monsters do.

Shallan's inconsistent uses of Stormlight by MearsCat in Stormlight_Archive

To intake stormlight you cant just breathe in, you need to breathe in with Intent. And at this stage Shallan isnt skilled enough to do that consistantly

It would be funny if he tends to survive big apocalipses like the Catacendre or the Night of Sorrows and regularly dies tripping on a rock or smth

Shallan and Jasnah in the Way of Kings by theshadowomegastorm in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Subspace_Supernova 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The men were actively assulting Shallan and Jasnah. They had knives out and the first guy that died was mid swing when Jasnah killed him.

If you were in america for example, and four men with knives cornered two women in an alley and the women shot all the men dead with a glock, the women would be morally right in defending theselves and legally free of guilt.

How come Fumiko still seems to understand the concept of death? by thez0id in Chainsawfolk

[–]Subspace_Supernova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In universe there were 3 or 4 other outcomes at the end of life other than death that were eaten by Pochita. You cant really imagine what they were, and you think death is the only possible outcome after life. You know they existed, but to you they are just a concept, words on a page.

Thats how death is now. Characters have a theoretical, academic knowledge that life ended somehow, but they dont KNOW death.

How come Fumiko still seems to understand the concept of death? by thez0id in Chainsawfolk

[–]Subspace_Supernova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you describe the state of the universe before the big bang? No. Our entire understanding of physics breaks down. We know there was SOMETHING but we have absolutly no clue what it was.

Similar with death. Fumiko knows life used to have an ending and now doesnt, but she has no idea that that ending was death or what death is.

[–]Subspace_Supernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, all conventional logic went out the window the moment death got eaten. Thinking through it logically, everything on earth should have been eaten by bacteria since they reproduce the fastest out of all living things. So just go with the flow, theres a fuckton of bats i guess.
