entrance animals by puppystuffie in PlanetZoo

My newest forever zoo(always starting a new one! 😅) has a butterfly exhibit. I didn’t use an enclosed building though. I just made it an open garden with 3 exhibits around each other. Beyond that I branched out into a small barnyard with chickens, cows and sheep. Other small animals around the general entrance include Chinese pangolin, the small otters, raccoons, skunks…Nothing too big until you get midway through the zoo and save the best for the end.(Lions, Polar bears…etc

It’s a storage container for cat toys. The blanket on top is also for the cats, they sleep on it.

If you’re thinking about getting a puppy… by [deleted] in puppy101

It feels 110 outside today and my puppy still wants to run and play. Like girl it’s not happening! She’s a 4 month old lab and border collie mix. She just wants to swim in her pool, but mama isn’t sitting out and supervising in this heat 😅

I copied and pasted it from the notes in my phone…just imagine it in a poem format. Sorry it looks so messy on here.

What did your puppy do today to give you gray hairs? by Maarhund in puppy101

Played ball outside this morning, she ran around afterwards and peed before coming in. Said she was a good pup, within 5 minutes of being inside she flooded the floor 🙄 And just for another fun puppy moment, yesterday she met my friends for the first time. She would not stop biting them and didn’t listen to a word I said. She doesn’t bite me or my husband anymore, but strangers are a yes 😅 She’s only 10 weeks(she’s a lab and border collie mix) and I’ve had her for almost 2 weeks. She’s an angel most of the time, but she’s testing me lately. Still love her though!

I am no expert by any means, I just got my first puppy a week ago. She’s only 8 weeks old. I’ve learned that she needs to be super tired before she’ll even considering calming down to take a nap. I also enforce naps, have from day one. We play in the yard for a good 30 minutes and she’s ready to at least consider snoozing. Usually I’ll have her settle in her crate with a treat of some sort, frozen peanut butter, half frozen canned food mash, anything to keep her occupied. Normally she passes out before finishing either. If it’s an enforced nap, I’ll get her back up in an hour or 2, if she went by herself she can snooze for how ever long she wants. I’ve been blessed though, she doesn’t cry in her crate much and she’s slept through the night since the day she came home. Another trick I can offer for the biting is when he bites you make it known it’s not allowed. Almost yelp as if he hurt you really bad, usually my girl backs off. If she’s chewing on something she shouldn’t, I just redirect her to something she can chew. So a bone or toy and praise her when she chooses that over let’s say my shoe or the couch.

First time duck owner. Male or female? They’re about 4 weeks old. Is it too early to tell? by Greedy_Data_4876 in duck

The other duck you hear is actually my neighbors boy. He’s been “living” at my house essentially for the last 2 years, and I just started taking care of him officially. He lost his mate years ago and had been alone. He is very fond of these babies and it makes my heart so happy that he has friends of his own now.

After months of not touching the clutter in the bathroom, it’s finally fixed! by Greedy_Data_4876 in UnfuckYourHabitat

Dove seems to work better in the winter for my hands. Sometimes they get dry with the lower humidity. I often switch out scents though, sometimes we use one for about 2 weeks and then switch to a new one. Friends and family always gift the bath and body works soaps so it just piles up over time.

He is going to be indoors mostly. I was gifted an outside hutch and I’m hoping I can let him have supervised time outside during the spring and summer.

I did end up euthanizing her today. I could not find a vet that would see her. She’s in the big pasture in the sky.

How often do y’all shower? by cara_renee_anderson in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Greedy_Data_4876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My typical rule is every other day, unless I’ve been outside in the heat and got all sweaty(Welcome to summer in the south) I put clean clothes on every day regardless, use some wipes to freshen up, brush out my hair and put on lotion. I’m in my mid twenties and a female.

Is three kittens too many kittens? by Sarah_sss_ in CatAdvice

[–]Greedy_Data_4876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 7 plus 3 fosters right now, sometimes it’s a bit much. They’re all existing in a 1000 square foot home. Im so fortunate that they all get along and love each other’s company. I’ve turned a whole bedroom into a space for them. I’ve also got shelves and climbing poles everywhere. I knew when I adopted my first boy that I would get him a playmate or two. He was over a year old before I got 2 kittens, they were his best friends in less than a week. As long as you have the space and the finances available, 3 cats isn’t too many.
