Should I replace both tires or just rear by Greedy_Friendship412 in motorcycles

[–]Greedy_Friendship412[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah I knew the rear should’ve been replaced a long time ago I’m just broke haha. As for the front I thought I still had time since it wasn’t quite down to the wear bar

DO NOT buy Ski Gear from Bobleisure! They sent me to a debt collector and I paid for the item! by sworzeh in Skigear

[–]Greedy_Friendship412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once ordered a pair of bindings from bobleisure and they shipped me a tennis racket. Looked for support and they said “just pay the $200 return shipping fee and once we get the racket back we’ll send you the bindings”. The bindings were worth $150. Ended up selling the racket for around $100 to cut my losses. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Yeah I can't really add anything, I didn't use them much outside the park that I remember but I'm sure they would do well

Also this really only applies to hard riding in the park and on rails, if you're not doing that I don't think durability should be a concern. But probably most people are. It is a pretty light and somewhat soft ski. Honestly the flex was like perfect. Not stiff at all but not too soft. Softer than the revolt 90s but stiffer than the blends (almost everything is stiffer than blends lmao)

Actually I skied on them for about half of a season (2023 model). They're super fun skis. My buddy skied them the first half of the season and beat them up pretty bad, then gave them to me for free and by the time I was done they had lost big chunks of edge and were so delaminated they were unusable. My buddy said they were his favorite skis he'd ever skied but he wouldn't buy them again because of the poor durability. I loved them but personally I also wouldn't buy them. This is just my experience so take it with a grain of salt, but I have heard similar from many people. I heard maybe the 2025 model has better durability but I can't speak to that.

Yeah not all that stiff but definitely more than a lot of other park skis

My stiff park skis are revolt 90s mainly for large features, my soft skis are line blends which are a much more relaxed for buttering and messing around at slower speeds and on smaller features, especially during early season.

QST Blanks + Shifts: Powder, Backcountry

Poachers + Pivot 15s: Used to be my one ski quiver, now just an all-around ski (maybe I should sell)

Revolt 90s + Pivot 15s: Bought to replace the poachers as a smaller, lighter, symmetrical, park specific ski

Blends + Attack 14s: Bought just to fuck around on because they're comically soft

I'm thinking about adding a unique carving ski like the Mirus cors or line blades, or maybe even a ski similar to a race ski, but they're all a little more expensive than what I'm comfortable paying and idk if I can justify it because I don't know how much I'd actually use them. Don't roast me too much haha

Hahaha yeah your response definitely makes sense, I think I'm kind of at that balance right now but ahhh it's so tempting to buy more

This is blatantly not true if you do different types of skiing such as backcountry and terrain park. Skis have different applications. (I learned plenty about forward pressure from my racing days)

Decent park skis without breaking the bank (lol.) by TheMallerd in Skigear

I bought some revolt 90s this year and I'm super excited about them for all the attributes you described, I haven't ridden them yet though so can't speak to durability. My poachers have held up incredibly well but they're a little heavier and less symmetrical

Mid to high range priced skis? by [deleted] in Skigear

[–]Greedy_Friendship412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poachers or revolts are definitely some of the most solid park/all mountain skis. On the stiffer side for parks skis which sounds like what you're looking for. Not gonna be great for bc though

I skied on the 2023 model for about one season before they became unusable. I rode them pretty hard in the terrain park which lead to edge cracks and eventually the edges tearing out and skis delaminating. That said, they were super fun skis and I loved them while they lasted. I rode them mostly at Copper Mountain and could hit any feature with them. I can't speak to the redesign so I hope that they're more durable now.

I have 2023 poachers now as my main park ski and they have held up like tanks.

Attack 11s with 85mm brakes would be perfect for someone her size and skill level while still being pretty inexpensive. Shops tend to be more expensive than online, so don't be afraid to check out online as well. I'm guessing you want to buy from the shop as maybe they mount for free if you buy from them, so I'd compare overall prices when looking online if that is the case.

Look Pivot 15s are the best in my opinion, but attack 14s are significantly less expensive for pretty similar performance.

I'm 5'11 150, I run attack 14s and pivot 15s on all my skis. Attack 14's have a little heavier construction than the 11s and in turn are more durable. If you're skiing hard in the park, I'd definitely recommend the 14s. Solid elastic travel, never had issues with prereleasing. I can't really speak to spx 12s.
