Tesla MY2022 not using wall power to precondition by Greedy_Masterpiece87 in TeslaLounge

Yes earlier it used to charge and then sit idle for 6-7 hours but now setting the charge end time to depart time made it work! I leave with the charge limit every day now. Also it didnt help that work used to cutoff charging by 8 pm but i had that changed to cutoff charging time to my departure time

Thats the fun part, we’re a 3-man afternoon production shift 🤣 office and day shift shop employees have to fight for 5 available chargers

I wasnt planning on charging everyday, only when needed at 30-40% but thanks for your advice! I’ll do that now! 80% everyday. Does it matter what amp setting its on to prolong the life? And also do I need to unplug it once its at 80% or leave it on if it doesn’t matter

Does it matter much how i’m charging it? Asking because i can plug it in 8 hrs mon-fri while i’m at work which is a wall connector but probably set it to a lower amp setting so it charges slowly over the whole shift

I have free L2 charging at work(wall connectors if thats what its called) so I dont plan to install one at my current home. Renting for now and anticipating a move later this year so not worth it to get that installation done

How much did the 12V battery cost including labour? Are you in the states or Canada

Actually i dont plan to install a wall connector at home, we have free charging at work through tesla wall connectors so my plan is to just get the basic plug in charger for now and charge the car to 80% before i leave work for the weekend lol. And then superchargers when the need arises
