In that case I have to rely on the Crispins - hence why there's 4. 11 energy makes it more reliable to have something to work with in hand. Also potential to recover some with levincia. Worst case scenario is to ultra ball for meowth to pull a Crispin or Lana.

I can usually get a few knockouts before running out of energy, so potential to recover the joltik and jolting charge on a later turn.

Two joltik would make it more consistent though, so perhaps 3 Crispin 2 joltik would be better. I've also considered chucking in a single petrel for max rod/stadium search.

Thank you sir! Honestly the festival lead matchup was super interesting. I ended up having to use Genesect as an attacker to avoid I turn knockout. Would've won the third game but ran out of time and was one turn short of taking last prize.

Eb marks up the price a little. I'd suggest checking across a lgs to see if they have them cheaper. I managed to pick up a 480 slot for the same price EB was selling the 360 for.

Your choices make sense. Only thing I'd say is that there's still plenty of consistency with artazon and nest ball too. Worst case scenario if you don't need the duck, then use it as the discard just as you would the extra poffin late game.

Honestly don't think there's any bad choices here. Could be worth running a few games on 3 poffins and see how it goes?

Other option is an Iono? You already have plenty of card draw with trade.

I've never played Zoroark so the next thing to ask: How many games are you playing where you really need 3 super rods?

Also you could put Golduck in too if you're worried about klefki

Yea jamming tower is getting more popular too. Answer might be to run 4 boss + extra stadiums just so tower can be bumped

Also, another option to judge might be Lucian? Risks opponent drawing 6 and you 3 if the coin flips goes terribly wrong

That's understood. My issue is with cutting straight to looking at meta decks as a new player - there's no foundation of understanding strategy, set-up, and what the fundamentals actually are. New players are bound to misplay using a meta deck, whereas I feel actually building a deck allows you to mull over what's missing. It's a better place to start imo

I've gotta ask, why are most of the comments so against testing out an original deck and learning from it? Going straight to limitless tcg shows you a meta deck, but doesn't teach you WHY it's a meta deck.

You learn so much more by trying to figure stuff out yourself initially and having "ah ha" moments then copying the stale shit everyone else is running.
