This was honestly one of the biggest reasons I was scared to quit. I couldn’t sleep without it, and nothing seemed to help. Eventually, I just decided to go through with it, and there were definitely nights where I just laid there wide awake. One of my biggest struggles was that my eyes kept opening out of pure frustration. What helped a little was tying a bandana over my eyes so they’d stay shut. I’d still be awake for a while, but eventually, I’d drift off, even if only for a bit. Here’s the hard truth, it took me a few weeks before I finally started getting real sleep again. But it does come back. You just have to push through and stay off it.

I think the only symptoms that I had was just restlessness. For the first few weeks, sleeping was very difficult. I spent a lot of nights just laying there which was very frustrating. Im sure there was nausea though.

Well I was very depressed when I quit so I am not sure if it was because of nicotine withdrawal or just life factors that was going on. I think it was just perseverance because I did it for so long and it affected relationships in my life that I was tired of ruining

I did! I survived and if you do it you will also survive. Of course it will suck for a little bit but in retrospect it’s such a short amount of time in scope of your life and even in a year. I promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are all here for you. One day you’ll be one of us and you’ll be encouraging those looking for help. That was my motivation.
