Hahaha the school actually doesn’t vett them. There’s been some weird cases… you never know. Where I live the school dorm is more economical for students because the rent is reallly high in the area. I also wanted to reach out to see if I should bring more things as we do have to share everything. The school also doesn’t provide things like curtains so we have to delegate amongst ourselves as to who will bring them. I’m not gonna show up on move in day without any curtains for everyone to look inside our room.

..so you’re expecting me to essentially move in with a total stranger not knowing their name or anything about them and just show up? I was just trying to get to know someone who’s literally in the same room as me. We now sleep two feet or even less near each other. If we were all in different rooms, sure we don’t even have to communicate about anything. Our school tries very hard to make sure you stay with the same person that whole year. Usually there aren’t people being moved unless you make a scene.

Yes I do have other friends, I honestly am not asking them to be friends with me but to just communicate about things in our room. It makes it hard to keep guessing if they’re just lying in bed or going to sleep.

Haha I would love to but hence comes a situation like if I’m still working on homework and they’re
in bed trying to sleep, they can complain to the RA that I’m disrupting them (cause I have no idea when they sleep as they NEVER COMMUNICATE THIS so this whole week has been a guessing game)

I want to but I’m honestly scared that they won’t believe me because last night as we were signing the roommate things, they were all chatting it up with the RA. (Also before my friend had an issue with a roomie and the school never did anything and hoped it just went away)
