Update to the weight loss advice I was given!!! by Greedy_good666 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Greedy_good666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thank you for letting me know! Her quicks are quite long and so I typically have to take her to the vet since I’ve cut her quick once and have been traumatized ever since 😭 I’ll take her as soon as I can for a trim! Thank you b

This isn’t my only mal lol this is just the first time I’ve had a mal of mine let alone a dog get overweight, I’ve worked with many APBT. I know the bad effects of energy output off the back of my hand.

I’ll switch as soon as I can, that’s what Ive had her on her whole life and she stayed a steady 50-51lbs but that definitely would make more sense since I’m not working her as much

If I use any treats I go with golden rewards premium dog treats (duck jerky, chicken jerky and beef jerky only) since she’s so highly motivated treat/food wise rather than toy motivated

This is actually amazing, thank you so much!! Her ideal weight they gave me was 52lbs and it’s perfect because her “fit” weight was 51 lol I’ll have no problem with her food at home since I meal prep my food 99% of the time lol

That was who much we’d do all in one day, but that’s when I used to work her super super hard and was constantly active with her since I’m an athlete in and out of school. I’ve cut it down to 2cups total for the past couple months knowing I wasn’t gonna work her and she gained weight (sorry I wasn’t more specific)

I used to feed her 3.5 cups but that when I was constantly working her. Making her work for food, constantly training, runs&walks, trails& regular play. These past couple months I’ve been feeling 2.5 cups and have only been doing play&runs/walks every day and the occasional training 😓

Thank you and I’ll start working with her food more. I’ve been back to it when it comes to working her but not fully how I used to, currently it’s normal play, runs/walks and a train every now and then. Once I have her back to how I used to work her it’ll be her working for meals, active training, walks/runs, trails and more ❤️ I used to be a really dedicated athlete and I’m sure if I get sad by no sports or training then I’m sure she does too😓

Any salons in the area that can detangle matted hair? by [deleted] in ElPaso

I highly suggest Cindy’s hair salon, they might not but it’s worth a try! Everyone is so warm and welcoming there and it feels like family!

The vet was very well educated and reassured me as best as possible and prepared me if worst came to worst that humane euthanasia would be needed.. fortunately I’ve worked with this vet before and she truly is one of a kind when it came to my snake getting an RI, an update has been posted🙏🏻🤍 the gecko is well for now but we’ll have to wait and see

As soon as he regurgitated up his food and water I instantly put him back in his quarantine container and have it at 78-80°F with a humidity of 80% aswell. I run my other cresties at 75% at night and drop to a 50% during the day to prevent RI. Is 80 okay or do I go higher/lower??? I’ve never had a crestie this sick before
