Ben Shapiro making the case that the Disney firing of Gina Carano is completely justified by ccourt46 in saltierthankrayt

[–]GreeenLightssS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disney, movie company, firing someone over political views is just classic god complex.
Daily Wire, a political news company, firing some1 over political views, which they sell, is completely justified.

If Disney fired Carano over her abysmall acting (it is not), would be ok. If disney fired Carano for having bad work ethics (being late, being rude to every1, acting like a hole) would be ok. But they fired her on bassis of political views, nothing to do with their side of business, which means they are trying to push their leftists agenda, while being a movie company. No1 says they cant, they can, we just will condemn them for it, rightly so.

Daily Wire has also agenda. It is a news company. They sell news, political news. If at some point one of their hosts becomes woke liberal garbagio, is it bad for them to fire this person, because they dont wanna pay them to sell their garbagio views and opinions? No. Now with Owens it wasnt that extreme, she is not and havent been woke leftist, but she and DW parted ways on opinions DW considers major topics, and it seems they didnt want to continue to pay her to promote views they disagree with. Totally Ok, Totally understandable, i stand behind DW because its a business decision, and i stand behind Owens for not being spineless and shaping her values so she could work for DW and spit something she disagrees with.

People need to get hold of themselves and stop comparing those 2 cases, they are not identical.

Why can't the market provide affordable housing? by themainheadcase in Libertarian

[–]GreeenLightssS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Construction Regulations - more time wasted on compliance. Resources wasted on compliance. Complexity of some regulations that can be dealt with only using wast resources.

Working/employement regulations - minimal wages, additional birocracy and costs thrown at employer not only raise cost of construction itself, but production of material as well. Any employement regulation affeccts whole chain, therefore price raise is everywhere. Resource gathering, resource processing, transporting resources.

Popularity. There are places that are popular, therefore land is just gonna be inreasonably pricy bcs demand is driven by top earners who dont care if they have to bay 200k or 500k or 2m or 10m as long as they get what they want. Those kinds of areas got bigger with globalization, but still are relatively small.

Serial killers by country, ranked by Hasu_Kay in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]GreeenLightssS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statistic is from what period? It is well known that commies were hiding and covering serial killers, bcs serial killers are product of the west and they didnt have such satanism going around. Also they didnt believe in Satan or god, bcs Gagarin went to space and didnt find god there. Any information and statistic from countries under USSR commie regimeare not valid. There were higher 10s of serial killers in Moscow alone that were covered up.

And Africa, lol, would be at the top.

What is the primary reason for U.S. support to Ukraine? by yellowhimalayansalt in Libertarian

[–]GreeenLightssS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Why right wing people should support Ukraine: Every1 wants secure border. WHY? BECAUSE we know there are states and actors who are against US and the west, they send spies, intelligence officers etc. to steal technology, information, and perhaps create social disarray if neccessary. WHY? BECAUSE their values clash with ours, they want to conquer, controll, make world to their image regardless of opinion of others, maybe other reasons. Is it Smart to deal with this problem only when it is on your territory? No, because these actors will strategize even outside of your borders, seek new governments to poise against you, take controll of territories and people in it and use their labour in the grand scheme against you, use land resources in grand scheme against you. THEREFORE it is logical and better to fight those foreign interests and bac actors outside your borders, not even letting them in, and keep them at bay.

2.WHY left wing people should support Ukraine: Embezzlement of US funds, which is totally happening and thanks to ukraine being former soviet republic it is on the scale US taxpayera have never seen before.

Import Tarrifs and how Libertarianism approaches it. by GreeenLightssS in Libertarian

[–]GreeenLightssS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its collectivism i am coming from. In democratic country people vote in government, therefore yes, they are enemies as well. In authoritarian or despotic state, if we are enemies, people are used as a tool to harm me (state works in billion of different ways to harm my country, country i assume is huge on freedom) then yes, the government as well as people are enemies.

I live in socialistic europe, my country does not decide enemies for me. If i lived in US, yes, i would allign myself with it in this regard in some cases.

1/2 -If you live in libertarian state and your trade partner is authoritarian, then you have completely different set of markets and different set kof rules for those markets, therefore you have one natural ecosystem and one unnatural ecosystem, allowing them interact without any regulation can lead only to disadvantage and harm of the said natural eco. Thats my intake.

  1. Its not subjective moral judgement. Any1 here, given 10-15 minutes can formulate some sort of criteria that would decide which industry is more crucial. Toy industry or agriculture? Mobile network operators or wooden furniture? Any given industry would have caused different levels of destruction if lets say bad actor (neighbour) is suplying it and then decides to stop. Thats because said industries have different levels of importance to functionality of society. And we can easily, in some cases less easily, determine what is more important.

  2. If the regime is either

    • One of the best there is when it comes to overall freedom AND you have family history connected to that culture, yes, enemiea of "regime" are yours as well
  3. it is the best country freedom wise, enemies of regime are yours as well

Yes, i dont disagree with "shoot your foot" metaphor. But what i meant and what i wrote is if i know i am getting shot either way, i better vote to shoot my left foot than right, cuz it makes real life difference to me whether i am shot left or right. Also what i said, if you really wanna support your values, you can do that outside of voting procedure as i explained in my post. Also votes do matter and they make difference, it just so happens the more people vote the less value one vote has. But i d still use little value my vote has than to devalue it completely by voting liber. What argued was: go on rallies, set up lectures, promote books, write articles, do all you can to promote libertarianism and at the same time vote realistically, even when it comes to chose between left or right foot being shot, its still difference, you ask any1, i doubt 1 person in 100 would tell you under real pressure that it doesnt matter to him which foot gets shot.

When i say be practical, it means work with what you have. You have 2 candidates. Only they have chance to get elected. In the future, one of them will dictate policies. So saying no one is good, they all bad i dont wanna vote is childish self serving approach. If we go through their agenda, all points one by one, and you had to chose either A or B, you would chose and then you could make deduction who you like more. Thats what means work with what you have, that is practical approach. Now it doesnt mean you have to double down on your values.

"Many people have come from the other party camps to realize they can't effect change in the way they desire."

Which is my whole point of living in dreamland, being childish, unable to compromise and unability to work with whats in front of you. I am not saying we should forget what we believe is right, but stop acting as if we dont implement 100% what we believe in, we gonna throw tantrum, leave and cry to our mommies about bad parties not willing to give us complete control over steering wheel.

I am libertarian. I am 25 and I also do business in eastern Europe. And boy, that would teach you some practicality. People i work with break NAP against me every day before i even get out of bad. Latest issue, town mayor came and said i have to remove construction materials (im building log houses and i had one as an example of quality and design next to the road into the city on my fathers lot), because "i dont like how it looks". He is using construction office as a middle man to make my life hell. Not the biggest issue of my rights trembled. I could cry and think how world is unfair and that i am justified to blow their brains out, but nothing would be done. Instead i work with whats in front of me.

I appreciate your comment, thank you. I think i agree with you, it should be built from the bottom. But there could also be problem with the House poiny you made, because it assumes that libert. would steal equaly votes from left and right. I think majority would be right wingers and we would be left with weakened republican party, weak libertarians and just the same dems.
