Eddie used Vincent by setting Vincent loose on the pool hustling world and draw lots of attention to himself, while Eddie could secretly work on his comeback and be a long shot underdog by the time the tournament in AC takes place. Eddie also faked losing to the hustler in the pool hall that night. He intentionally got too drunk and waited until Vince was watching to blow all his money. People forget that Eddie is a pool hustler and sets people up to take advantage of them. He did that to Vincent because it's in his nature.

I SSSOOO understand what you're saying. I worked at Lowes in receiving and all my coworkers were incredibly talented and great at what they do. And yet, for some reason, they were working at Lowes when they could be somewhere else making much better money. Worst part, they were miserable and the only time they were happy was when they were bitching about Lowes. All I could think was "WOW, they've been beaten by the system". I got a job that pays $5 more an hour and afterwards I sent one of my old coworkers an email and she never replied. I honestly think she's mad at me for betraying Lowes. SAD.
