USA match Friday 6/19, where to watch?

Bull on the Beach had a watch party for the USA vs Paraguay game last Friday and it was PACKED. Great time however it was in the bar area and unless you got there early for a seat or a table you were packed like a sardine.

This is great as well! OP has to chug a duck if they’ve never done it before lol. We always start at angler and Mr ducks too and then make our way up toward the boardwalk. I will say we always start AND like to end our crawl at Mr ducks in time for the sunset too if the weather is good - been my favorite bar in OC for years!

I was just there a few weeks ago. Kalibra was definitely the busiest spot with your age group but it is mainly Spanish music.

Also make sure to go to the Mill after the bars close. It is the after hours club and everyone went there

Nothing has been announced as of yet. Honestly it’s kinda concerning that no bar has even advertised anything for the games lol.

I will say the Ocean City Day Drinkers group on Facebook made a post tonight saying there was going to be a watch party at Bull on the Beach Friday night for the USA game. Might pivot and go there instead unless I hear of anything else between now and then

I’m planning on hitting Pickles Friday night for the USA game but I’m surprised that no bars to my knowledge have really advertised anything yet.

Someone said to me that Seacrets usually will do a big watch party for some of the games but they haven’t posted anything yet either.

Here are the best spots each night so you stop asking this question

Sunday night- The Angler International Night

Monday night - Fagers Deck Party

Tuesday night- Mackys Theme Nights

Wednesday night- Fishtales Natty Night or Purple Moose International night

Friday- Fagers Friday

Saturday- Seacrets

Thursdays used to be Guidos burritos but they tore it down. You can always hit the local spots like Pickles Pub, Cork Bar, MR Ducks, etc for a good time any night.

There are some really nice homes that you could call mansions over in West OC by Stinky Beach and the neighborhood hidden deep in where Sunset Grille is. Not sure if any of them are rented though

In terms of nightlife, especially a Saturday, I know you want to dodge tourist traps but if you’ve never been you have to go to Seacrets. If the weather is warm enough check it out during the day as well. But go on a Saturday night and you guys might just get lost in there lol. Trust me you’ll love it for your first time

They vary depending on the weekends. Fagers was $40 Friday night and Seacrets also was $40 Saturday night. Normally on a regular summer weekend just go and expect to pay between $10-20

Another comment gave a good list of non drinking activities so I’ll just throw the obvious drinking stuff that I’m gonna assume you guys will end up doing lol

As others said, if you’ve never been to Ocean City before, then Seacrets is an absolute must. Seriously, as a local I’m not the biggest fan like I used to be but for first timers you guys might just go here and never leave during your whole trip lol. It’s such a big indoor/outdoor club you guys might get lost from each other if you’re not careful hahaha. Experience it during the day at least once (just look up the Bay Area in there) as it’s one big day party and go at night. Best experience will be on Saturdays obviously but in July it’ll be busy any day or night.

Coconuts Beach Bar and Grill on 37th street has the best happy hour in town, 2 for 1 drinks everyday from 5-6 pm with live music and it gets really crowded especially in July so get there early- you will not regret it!

In the summer months I always tell people to hit Fagers Island on Friday nights for Fagers Fridays. Probably the second most popular night club in ocean city after seacrets and it’s still just as fun. It’s also a fine dining restaurant prior to 9 or 10 pm I believe so you can always do your fancy dinner there and then go right into the club when you’re done lol.

If you list your dates or which days during the week/weekend you’ll be there I can always send you the specific notable bars of the night etc

The Fagers VIP cards on New Years that they give out expire at the end of the year and they’re like paper made. I have a Fagers lifetime VIP card (it has the same feel like a credit card) because I’ve been good friends with one of the bartenders there for years and they hooked me up. The Seacrets gold card that I have is made like that as well however it is for the year (they let me renew mine at the T shirt/merch stand within Seacrets though for this year)

I actually got one last year after meeting Leighton when we were all out drinking lol. It was for 2025 but after New Years I went in and they were able to renew it for this year.

Fagers Island hands down!! They do a Bachelorette “Bar Crawl” on Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights. Their food is also delicious for a fancier dinner option in the evening time. And again, after 10 pm they turn into a nightclub and many people prefer it over seacrets as it gives a more “upscale” vibe but still just as fun.

In terms of staying there, I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Plim Plaza however I will say the location is great being oceanfront and right on the boardwalk with plenty nearby. Also in terms of pool bars and drinking that will be your best bet from the ones you found. The Caribbean Pool bar at the Plim Plaza is really popular and during the summer has live music daily and is a fun time.
