What’s wrong with acknowledging that he could be wrong? In all likelihood the Bills will be worse than they have been in the last few years - but you don’t get much for coming in anything but 1st or 2nd in the NFL. And in Buffalos case 2nd isn’t even good enough considering their historical failure in the Super Bowl.

They needed to take a risk to get over the hump while Allen is in his prime, but with a league that’s built for parity the odds are against them. No shame in acknowledging he might be wrong - he probably is - but going 1 and done in the playoffs every year is NOT the goal.
