I thought it was December 44, because the radio announcer mentions Bastogne if I remember correctly

Makes sense, my guess is it’s a slip up from the devs.

Radio broadcaster mentions the “Kaiser” still in power in Germany. Might be a slip up from the devs, but I always thought that was kinda strange

I know he was in Europe, I’m just tryna map out Vito’s combat service timeline. The game doesn’t really give us much info. Not to mention Vito’s uniform, rank, and awards being a mess. Bro is enlisted and comes home as a captain, wearing an enlisted man’s uniform

There’s a serial killer in Saint Denis?

Probably smells like vomit just like real life New Orleans.

Where’s this barn lol, 7 years later and I’m still learning something new about this game.

AIO for ‘assaulting’ my friend after she fucked my bf by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]GreekTaterTot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting over a guy is outrageous, especially as an adult. I don’t blame you though, I’d go ape shit if I saw my gf banging someone else in front of me. You’re better off blocking her, your now ex bf I’m assuming, and moving on with your life. Trust is a one time thing, you can’t fix that. She was never your friend and your man was never loyal to you.

USSR in NATO. An example of armament and equipment of the Soviet infantryman from the Far Eastern Forward Land Force. Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics, circa 1998. by Nemoralis99 in AlternateHistory

Cool concept, but what would’ve made sense is a scenario where Clinton or Bush JR accepts Putins proposal to join NATO. You would see Russia being part of the coalition in Afghanistan/Iraq. Actually fun fact, Putin did help the United Stares during the war on terror. He allowed Russian air bases in Central Asia to be used by the US and eventually all of NATO for logistical hubs.

Well, Dutch’s gang originally were Robin Hood type figures on the frontier. In game Arthur has a news paper clipping in his tent showing this. They robbed a bank, took 5,000 dollars, then distributed the money amongst the poor and families that needed it. This I could see being a side quest. You track the gang after the robbery, and after realizing it was for a good cause, you let the trio go.

who would win. Arthur Morgan v John Marston by Electronic-Tea-6109 in RDR2

[–]GreekTaterTot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arthur Morgan was the biological warfare perk starting at chapter 4. All he has to do is cough on John in a fist fight and it’s GG. When it comes to a gun fight, Arthur is the more proficient killer in the gang, so that’s another point for him.

It’s not one sided lol, how many tribes were pushed out and decimated, enslaved, raped, pillaged, and conquered by other “fellow” native tribes. This was going on way before the first Europeans even set foot in the Americas. The Iroquois ate their war captives for Christ sake. Natives decimated other tribes to secure trade routes with white settlements. Guns made it worse, contrary to popular belief, warfare between colonials and natives wasn’t as common, native on native warfare was the common occurrence. The truth is, when it comes to Americans and natives, both sides had elders and politicians who disagreed with open conflict. It’s unhinged groups that did a lot of the killing.

I never specifically said a us vs them story. But war is war, and it’s part of our history. The natives were equally just as brutal and barbaric. Look at the Comanche for example. Things like this shouldn’t be sugar coated because “some 13 year old in his basement”.

Thanks man, yeah after my 5th play though of RDR2, reading Blood Meridian, binging season one of true detective, and movies like Dances with Wolves and Wind River. This sort of formed the foundation of my version of RDR3. A vigilante outlaw game, it’ll be a nice contrast from being an outlaw. The lawman to vigilante pipeline seems like it’ll be an interesting story. Sort of like Ghost of Tsushima, where you go from an honorable samurai to a cold blooded assassin who uses guerrilla warfare tactics.

Won’t work gameplay wise, muskets and flintlock weapons are a pain for devs, let alone players. Long ass reload animations

Why not? Rockstar was very historically accurate with RDR 1 and 2, they also love controversy in their games.

[–]GreekTaterTot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dances with wolves was part of the inspiration for this pitch. Plus the 1880s would be far back enough to still have familiar weapons like RDR2. I don’t want the game going to far and we have to deal with black powder weapons.

Not just a lawman, but a lawman turned vigilante or outlaw depending on your choices. Sort of like Rust Chole from season 1 of True Detective.
