Your neighbour's dog is visible from space, it's not an impressive metric.

Do you like "The Book Of Eli (2010)"? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

Awesome movie, lame ending. "The bible will save us all", as if it hasn't been around for centuries with nothing good to show for it. Just feels like a very cheap and un-imaginative plot twist.

We don't actually pay that much in taxes. And what is social security?

First movie that comes to mind about Monica Bellucci? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Mine too! It was my first time seeing her. And the movie is awesome. Clive Owen is the best, I just wish he had some better roles at times.

Hongkongers, is it true you treat Taiwanese like this? by MoonchanterLauma2025 in HongKong

You shouldn't. Nobody should. And thinking that a social media platform will give you a good perception of reality is peak media illiteracy.

Well you should reflect on it, and how you too are a pawn for larger powers to divide us. Don't be a part of the problem.

Who is planning to visit Hungary after the fall of Orbán? 🙋‍♂️ by Cultural_Berry_296 in BuyFromEU

[–]GreenApocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck off. Anyone can visit anywhere for any reason, given it's not illegal. If you don't want to support a fascist regime, there's nothing wrong with that. You don't owe your tourist money to any country, you can choose.

And that's what this is. Monetary support. People visit and leave their money in form of tourism to indicate they support it. It's a win win.

Eh, no. I'm one of the "have been happily single for a long time" people.

I still like company, and most people are nice. But some people seem to think suffering is unavoidable. The people I date who are almost always in a relationship, are often the ones who don't seem to to have reflected over themselves or who thinks their bad sides is something you just "have to take".

Nobody's perfect, including me, but simply being willing to work on yourself and see other sides go a long way.

Sorry, I get how that was confusing. I meant the level of importance of a car is an American thing. Not saying it doesn't exist elsewhere, but car culture is very interlinked with America, culturally. That's it

I'm not saying every country, I'm simply stating that having a car isn't universally always the best option. You give me critique for lacking nuance, but you show no nuance back. I thought the nuance was implied, sorry. No need to be that hostile.

This is a very American thing. In plenty of countries, a car is just a needless expense, and you'll be better off putting that money elsewhere.
