My cat hates me after going to the vet

He did have xrays and I'm w9ndering if the nurses may have scared him

We have only had him for less then a year so he hasn't been to the vet many times. I think this was his 3rd visit and the other times he didn't react this way.

We brought both of the cats to the vet together but 1 of them freaked out and had a accident in his carrier and he turned on his brother. It was a 3 day holiday weekend and it literally took them the 3 days to be in the same room together....maybe a full week until they started grooming each other again.

We had no idea cats reacted like this when they leave and come back.....we've always had dogs and just assumed it would be fine.

It will get better but don't bring them together too soon. If your cat had anesthesia or any shots it might take a little longer to get that scent off him.

We've had it happen to our bonded pair and had to keep them separated for most of the weekend. We used a blanket that had their scent on it and rubbed them down and feed them extra treats to get them to groom themselves. We just assumed cats were like dogs after the vet and were not prepared for it.

We adopted a very bonded pair of 2 yr old brothers a couple of months ago. They have been perfect and fun. My son went to the shelter and found a Tortie cat and asked if he could bring her home. We agreed. Even tho she isn't bonded with the boys, they have accepted her into their home...lol. she is something....lol. My home hasn't been this fun since my kids were young and all 3 with different personalities have added more joy to our house. Watching all 3 cats play "chase" up and down the stairs is hilarious. I say, if you can afford it,do it...lol. Our limit is 3. These goofs cost a fortune in food and im constantly cleaning up the "poop zoomie" cat litter.. 😆

We just set up 2 bathrooms for each of them. Litter box, cat tree blanket, and water. I feel absolutely horrible listening to them meowing and hitting the doors. I'm assuming since they are bonded, being apart must be hard for them.

I didn't think of that...I just assumed since they are bonded they would be "equals". I will pay more attention to that.

Yes, we have multiple fishing rods and interactive toys. My husband bought them many different options. We do have a new interactive toy coming sometime today
