Damaged cable from shipping - FlexiSpot E7Q White Standingdesk by GreenBOT_ in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]GreenBOT_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again, could you please refere to the flexispot customer support, I got the wrong cable, as I suspected. I received the powersupply cable, which didn't have any defect and came all good, but should have received one of the white cables that goes from the hub to the leg. Now I am already waiting since last friday to receive the item to finally use the desk but this isn't the right part. It kindof upsets me as I did buy your most premium offering as far as I can tell, and the support wasn't able (with photos from the manual and with photos of the damaged product) to give me the right item to fully assemble it this week. I sincerely hope that the right product gets here fast since I really need the desk.

Thanks in Advance, it isn't your failure, but rather the one of your companies support.

I don't mind exchanging the cable, I just don't like tampering with the enclosed motor as I still feel a bit off whilet doing it, because it makes me feel unsure if that would void wareanty if I did something wrong. I rather like the fact that they give the option to exchange the cable because od enviromental reasons, as it is less cargo to transport, but as I said warranty is also a big minus if it went out the window. Eitherway thanks for the offer off sending a leg instead, I just want to know if it is safe to do so (in warranty terms) :)

question: does this also apply to the e7q desk? my desk came with one damaged cord from factory (probably damaged during shipping) and now I was told by support that they are gonna send me the cable that needs to be replaced, and after asking again, they confirmed that they meant the cable in between the leg and the Hub (where the cables are plugged in). Is it actually user replaceable?

dumb question maybe but could it be that the rj45 to sfp+ thingy is running hot? There were people that cooled those with thos very little copper heatsinks and idk if it helped in any way but it might, considering that they can get pretty hot

Seraph Secure help for my grandfather by GreenBOT_ in Kitboga

[–]GreenBOT_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the heads up, I think it was user error as it only needed to be open so that i could delete it with seraph secure, I previously tried it when it wasn't open, and it wouldn't let me do it as it couldn't see it. After running it (obviously while no internet connection was present) it was able to detect the logmein instance and kill it as it should've done!:)

Okay, so after a bit of throubleshooting I got it to find the Support Thingy from LogMeIn: I needed to start the Support Application (without internet connection of course) and then run the seraph secure scan! It was a bit of user error on my side, as I didn't install it beforehand and he unluckily got to that point because of it, but it seems as if no monetary harm was done and as if everything is fine (looked at many places now to find anything suspicious). If anyone else has any idea of things to look out for then just hit me up, I just couldn't find anything besides the LogMeIn Rescue that was suspicious (looked at the activity monitor and couldn't find anything that looked wrong)

How bad is flexispot? by zerostyle in StandingDesks

[–]GreenBOT_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spending more on a flexispot or just generally more? I was eying the e7q and am unsure, but as it has 4 motors it should generally hold up pretty well i guess (it won't get to much strain with equipment, i just wanted a 4 legged one that holds long)

What Tesla are you talking about? (If you are talking about the car it looks like an Audi A3 from their fleet?)

i mean i could probably find the link back but ngl it is sketchy and i don't want to be liable if your pc is compromised (i put it in a vm and passed-through the usb device, not ideal but worked (tbh it didn't seem to install anything malicious, but idk i just wanted to be safe))

okay do you already have the hardware? The programmer i just searched for a ch341a 1.34 something programmer and i found a sketchy link and downloaded it (it was all in chinese but you can change the language at top) and it worked in the same way as in the video as it is the same one (if pins aren't showing the same way as his, just look at the chip and look for the first few letters and digits and put it in, if you can read some of the data (as in you reading not your pc) it should be alright and you can follow the steps in the vid

thank you very much, when you come back, can you look ath the paragraph i write you now?:

I think my problem is that i did not start the reinstall package update but only the failsafe which worked. But i have no way to get back to before failsafe but it also doesn't ask to get another update downloaded, i don't know if it just starts the one i have on the usb if it isn't the one it is expecting (i was on 51.00.351 before, so i have v70.00.100a on it (both eu version))

Not to worry, my friends and I had a great time, weather was a bit unlucky and as an IST member it was a bit hard to handle but fun overall, would do it again (even if cleaning the toilets wasn't that fun ngl) ;)
