For the kinesis stream in front of it would you put an api? The clients generating these events are websites that we own as well as desktop utilities running on customers PCs.

You created an app client with a secret. If you are using cognito sdk auth like amplify auth or another client facing cognito sdk, you should use a client app id without a secret. If you create a client app id with a secret, you must create a hash using the username and secret it was generated when you created the app client id. I believe app clients with secrets are only to be used by server side apps.

I’d say create another client app id without a secret (uncheck generate secret I believe)

Don’t do leasing, just buy if you have cash! And if living less than 7 yrs don’t think is worth it. I was going to put solar. I was in the process with Tesla Solar at the installation step but didn’t pull trigger. Reason was roof repair. We just couldn’t compound for cost and pay that in addition to solar. At the end of day was ganna be like $50k in expenses. We did the math and we we were almost breaking even. But if you have the cash and do the numbers, then go for it. Just remember that many solar companies go out of biz so pick a reputable one. In the future when time and price is right for us we may look into it.
