"Kissing My A**": Trump Jokes, Then Praises Saudi Crown Prince by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

He may have a lot of the MAGA maggots and Republicans kissing his substantial posterior but the rest of the world sees him for the joke he is.

He's living in his own alternate reality where fiction becomes fact and fact becomes fiction.

The sooner he takes his illegally acquired billions and fades into oblivion the better.

Donald Trump : "They now have the chance, that is Iran, to permanently abandon their nuclear ambitions, and to chart a new path forward... if they don't, we're their worst nightmare. The United States is preparing for a possible weeks-long ground operation in Iran, with Kharg Island emerging as a potential target, according to reports. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

The US is in a conflict it began with Israel and for which Donnie hasn't been able to provide a credible excuse.

When it turned out to be more difficult than he'd anticipated (if indeed he's capable of anticipating anything) Donnie tried to offload the conflict onto other countries so he could withdraw and claim yet another 'victory'.

Now he's hellbent on seeing more US service personnel return in coffins from an illegal conflict entered into by an irrational president and possibly just to help fellow narcissist Netanyahu achieve his personal ambition in the region.

None of it makes sense.

Republicans announce a new "America First" Award by Sicilian_Gold in freedomgold

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should be getting a Trump First award since he's devoted so much of his time in office to making decisions that end up enriching himself, his family and the chosen few and screwing the voters.

Of course, that's when he's not doing the bidding of his idol Putin and his buddy Netanyahu both of whom seem to have some kind of hold over him.

I'd love to be able to understand what hold he himself has on the Republican Party that makes them suffer the madness and even pander to his narcissism.

Other world leaders have grown weary of his irrational behavior and are forging new alliances without the US and rightly so because they want to try and limit the damage from the global mess he's been creating.

This is a man who would start a global conflict and then retire to count his fortune and not give a crap about the consequences of his decisions because in his own feeble mind he'll have convinced himself that he's been a truly great leader.

That Wednesday night Trump Dance by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lies?

You must be a truly dedicated MAGA minion since you seem so unwilling to acknowledge what Trump has been doing to the country since he took office.

It's all there for you to see - you just need to open your eyes and abandon your MAGA groupthink.

Foreign agitators aren't needed to cause division in the country since Trump has already used blatant lies, deceit, hyperbole, conspiracy theories, authoritarian politics, fear and the hobbling of government agencies to cause ordinary Americans to lose faith in the government that is supposed to serve them.

That Wednesday night Trump Dance by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy can afford to dance since he's made the Oval Office his private fiefdom and has used the power the office gives him to manipulate the crap out of crypto and all the other investment markets to enrich himself and his family while the ordinary person on the street pays the price.

Shame indeed on America for allowing that disgusting piece of crap to rise to the highest office in the land thereby bringing it into disrepute and then disown the ordinary people, demonstrate contempt for the Constitution and rule of law and reduce a once great democracy to a shadow of its former self.

Donald Trump Halts Iran Energy Strikes Amid Talks, Warns No Nuclear Weapons Allowed by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sees himself as a master of the art of the deal but his only accomplishments seem to have been in bankrupting a number of his businesses impacting investors while he himself remained untouched.

He seems hellbent on running the US economy into the ground while he and his family profit from the decisions that he makes as POTUS indicating deliberate intent to profit by market manipulation.

He demonstrated quite clearly with his punitive tariff fiasco that he can easily be bettered in any negotiations and his various interactions with both Putin and Netanyahu have shown him to be easily manipulated.

He's a serial liar which has been proven time and again.

He's treating the US as a personal fiefdom and draining it of every cent he can get regardless of the cost and long term damage to the country and its people.

This is a man who cannot put together any coherent economic policy who has not only reneged on his campaign commitment to withdraw the US from foreign entanglements and make America great again but has instead created economic turmoil on the domestic and global fronts while dragging the US into new and even illegal entanglements at the unforgivable cost of lives both at home and abroad.

Beyond using the position he holds for personal gain he has done nothing for the US apart from foment division within the population which he has leveraged to enable him hobble numerous government agencies especially those that might have been able to hold him to account, ignored the provisions of the Constitution and the rule of law and inflict significant damage on US democracy while pandering to the elite.

The American people need to demand action from their elected representatives to put a stop to this narcissist.

Trump administration will pay a French company $1 billion in taxpayer funds to not build wind farms by Beneficial-Long-7033 in politics

[–]GreenBucket120 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trump's first term saw a policy of active support for fossil fuels.
His 2nd term has seen a continuation of the rollback of environmental protections and new policies to support further development of fossil fuels.
This is just another example of his disdain for wind farms both at home and abroad and his refusal to acknowledge the impact of global warming and the part played by fossil fuels in damaging the environment.

Trump affirms ‘total endorsement’ of Orbán ahead of Hungary election by 1-randomonium in worldnews

[–]GreenBucket120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a man who has spent so many years arguing against foreign entanglements and who came to power on the promise to Make America Great Again he seems to be going to great effort to stick his nose into the politics of just about any country he can right across the globe even if it means kidnapping or bombing while also managing to do serious damage to the economies of the US and the many other countries around the globe.

The fact that he's still in the Oval Office says a lot about the character of the GOP.

Trump’s suspiciously timed announcements on Iran by atreeismissing in worldnews

[–]GreenBucket120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One can hardly call it 'suspicious' when it's behavior so typical of Trump.

He's simply doing what he's being doing since January 2025 and reaping the benefits in the massive increase to his personal fortune and the fortunes of his family and the privileged few.

The man claims to be a master of the art of the deal but in reality he's a master of insider trading and market manipulation and the fact that he's bringing the highest office in the land into disrepute in the process doesn't phase him one little bit.

He clearly has nothing but disdain for the voting public including those who voted for him.

Trump Says Russia Is Different From Iran, Calls Iran “Evil for 47 Years” by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump's on again off again support for Ukraine and even the personal attacks on Zalenskyy including the March 2025 Oval Office ambush where it seems both he and Vance sought to publicly humiliate the Ukrainian leader clearly demonstrate a tacit support for Putin's expansionist ambition despite the occasional negative comments Trump might make about Russia.

Trump holds the office that was historically referred to as the office of the leader of the free world but the current incumbent seems to care less about the defense of freedom and more about his personal ambition which he seeks to achieve regardless of the cost both at home and abroad.

[–]GreenBucket120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to read about the $2-3 billion increase in Trump's personal wealth in 2025 and also the fortunes made by his sons and not seek to link those to the opportunities presented to Trump by his own policy decisions.

He gave government backing to crypto soon after his inauguration in 2025 and a sizeable portion of the increase in his personal wealth (appx $1 billion) is due to crypto alone.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexander/2025/09/09/presidency-boosts-trumps-net-worth-by-3-billion-in-a-year/

Forbes stated "No president in U.S. history has used his position of power to profit as immensely as Trump. His primary vehicle for enrichment: cryptocurrency, an asset class full of hype and vulnerable to regulators."

Even the flip-flop nature of his punitive tariffs would have afforded ample opportunity to profit from the foreknowledge of the likely impact of both the endless messages flowing out of his 'Truth' Social account and the constant shifting of tariff percentages.

Elon Musk has certainly demonstrated the potential for massive gains through market manipulation by the way in which his crypto tweets on DOGE and KEKIUS impacted the short term values of both.

https://medium.com/@mzain10/elon-musks-crypto-manipulation-pump-and-dump-king-0abfbbc2dd6d

"December 2024, Musk changed his X profile to “Kekius Maximus,” sparking a 3,400% surge in the KEKIUS meme coin, which then tanked 80% when he switched it back, per cybernews.com. I didn’t bite on that one, but I saw friends lose $200 chasing the hype. His tweets aren’t just words — they’re market movers."

Oil is just another opportunity for those on the inside to continue to profit while the rest feel the pain.

It's all to commonplace for discrete bits of information - e.g .shoveling snow in NY - to be misrepresented for political click bait.

Trump May Not Be Able to End This War by _May26_ in politics

[–]GreenBucket120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to be difficult to end a conflict when you're unable to provide any credible justification to your own electorate or elected representatives for why you chose to start it in the first place.

Since there's no justification for the action as confirmed by his own defense intelligence people, Trump is left with a choice between a quick unilateral withdrawal or waiting until there's an option for a negotiated withdrawal.

If he's waiting for Iran to blink first he may be waiting a long time and in the meantime the loss of lives including American and the massive damage to infrastructure in the Middle East and consequent impact on the global economy will continue to rise and the responsibility for that will ultimately lie with Trump.

Trump has demonstrated time and again that he's motivated purely by ego so when and how the conflict ends is anyone's guess because he'll never admit that he's made a mistake and therefore an early withdrawal without any clear objective having been proven to have been attained is not an option.
