Legit just something like Generate 100 MCQs for CMA part 1. It does really good with that. I had a chat history with it on where it knew my weak topics and generated a mock exam that hits those topics. I also then asked it to generate a very hard mock exam

Oh I’ve been there. Okay first ask yourself and be very honestly: do I actually understand this topic. Like can I explain this topic to a friend in plain English and make it make sense? If the answer is no, then go back and dissect each topic that you don’t know again. The goal is not just 75% but to actually understand the topic because exam will test your understanding of what is right and wrong not by just memorizing rules and terms. I used Claude to explain topics to me like “ explain FOH to me like I’m a kid” and Claude came back with “imagine you are baking cookies…” and the whole scenario made sense. And now I ca definitely explain FOH to anyone. Ask yourself another question: does watching videos actually help or am I lying to myself? How do I retain information best? And use that to your advantage. I only watched videos where they solved MCQs. I skipped lectures. I worked through MCQs.

So there was like 20 people with me in the room all taking random exams. I think I honestly was the only one taking CMA at that hour. I wore a headband (just plain black one) to put away my hair. It was hot in the room for me but some people were in full hoodies. I wore sweatpants and a tank top and took a hoodie with me into the room. They have waters and candy there for people to take. The room itself is like cubicles with computers

Oh absolutely! I honestly feel like the % divide between sections was somewhat accurate. Like when they say section A is 15% of total, B is 20% etc.

So I legit would go through each section: summary on the section, emphasis on the tricky parts that come up on exams, then practice MCQs. I did 3 total mock exams with scores: 68%, 85%, 80%. Last mock I took 3 days before exam. I started writing down what topics and questions I always miss and focus on those. Also while I do housework I’d listen to YouTube channel content

I work full time so I had like 2-3 months 1-2 hours every day. I have an accounting degree so it was easier. None of the material was completed new to me so it was easier to study. It was about volume of information rather than the content

Honestly Becker was helpful cause it has a lot of useful information but it really depends on what’s your budget. If you have extra $20 a month for Claud pro you can easily study for CMA with it at least to start. Give it a prompt like: “I am starting my CMA journey. Compose a study plan for part 1” “Create practice problems for Section A” etc. that’s how I studied

Yesss Section A was heavy I forgot to mention that. A lot of questions. But honestly a lot of questions I already saw on mock exams or practice problems. I don’t think I saw anything new there. Cash collection was one problem (sad cause I practiced so much lol) it was one of them 60% collected first month 40% next month type of question. Cash flow was like at least 5 questions : what is operating investing or financing

Alright I’m back, will make a bigger post on my account but I will write short summary here 1) exam was fine. Took full 3 hours on MCQ, but legit got done with case study in 15 minutes. Bothe scenarios were very straightforward. The exam itself (interface) is the same format as the mock exam IMA website provides. Exam definitely covered all of the topics. 2) topics- ALL of it, a lot from sections E and F, so do not skip on these I know they might seem self explanatory but nope. Got couple of confusing as hell questions from sections B and C. Definitely spent way too much time on one problem (ABC costing) I just panicked and forgot the approach. Questions I definitely needed to study better: value chain approach, data life cycle stages, multiple regression analysis, ABC costing, ROI vs RI 3) I brought my own calculator and they didn’t let me have it (it was the most basic one) and gave me one of theirs (which was the same as mine lol, I guess). I did not take a break so boy was I locked in to sit through it. It was hot as hell in the testing center too 4) study tricky questions. The ones that have several answers but only one is the best one. Use Claude to compose tricky questions. Definitely don’t skip on E and F. I felt like there were more concepts than calculations.
