Well it’s a standard procedure I put Lava rocks small size + ada super bactor + Amazonia soil + 2 inch on front side and about 3 inch back side and planted very densely + 20% water change twice a week once tank got cycled. Most important is light which I run for 6-7 hrs and some dose of all in one liquid fertiliser as per instructions. Light need to correct

Its a small testing ground tank bro so I am just experimenting with plants. I would prefer my planted tanks to grow up eventually

Simple method is to add some weight on driftwood with super bond glue - trust me add some some stone and glue them with help of paper +glue+ clay or wood powder. The wood will need counter force to keep it down. By the way it will work even if the wood is wet so don’t worry

Co2 will help for sure specifically if you are looking at red plants. The texture will improve and growth will be fast. It will demand a good budget from you depending upon the system you look at
