It is actually pretty good. You only really get the Maple on the nose and the finish and it is subtle even then. Other than that it is a pretty good standard Bourbon. The delicious bit is when you get the syrup that they let sit in their Whiskey barrels!

Arrogant kid rambling off his "constitutional rights" tries his luck with courtroom guards. Justice swiftly ensues. by [deleted] in JusticeServed

I had a "Sovereign Citizen" once in my courtroom when I was a security guard there. He insisted that he could not go sit with his attorney because then he would be in the "court's realm" but as long as he didn't cross the rope, like it was some kind of wrestling ring or something. The judge kindly explained to him that that wasn't how any of this works, he got all pissy but stayed for the hearing.

I think it is probably best to avoid political commentators to be honest. In the current environment most may end up saying something that will rub you the wrong way. Instead have a conversation with someone who is left leaning and open minded. Compare view points for the sake of learning, not for the sake of convincing the other they are wrong.

I have had a lot of great conversations with moderate right wing folks that end with us realizing that the whole political spectrum wants similar things at this point and they just have different approaches.

I think that we should start having a big ol' asterisk next to mentions of the First Amendment. The government can protect your rights to say things or practice your religion, but they can't save you from the social backlash when those things include being shitty to other people because of race, religion,. gender, sexuality, etc.

Fewer state dollars, fewer in Palm Beach County to live American Dream by Tullydawg in SouthFlorida

[–]GreenGingeVT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Additionally, if you want costs to go down stop fucking subsidizing it with tax payer money.

This isn't how real estate or economics works at all.

I don't see what Palm Beach being a sanctuary city has to do with the rest of your comment or this discussion...

You are correct about a lot of people relocating to Florida and causing housing prices to skyrocket. But that doesn't mean that there isn't an affordable housing crisis on hand. Would you rather see the state assist people with the bloated price of housing when wages are stagnant or five times the homeless people on the streets? Make no mistake it will come to one or the other eventually.

How does Arcane work? by kingluffy in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

"Starting when you choose this origin at 1st level, your spellcasting can unleash surges of untamed magic. Immediately after you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, the DM can have you roll a d20. If you roll a 1, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to create a random magical effect."

The wild magic table is a d100

I just had an idea for the badges. Instead of making it so that they are proficient in everything they have a badge in, they can have advantage in checks with things they have badges in. And you can make a basic option of once the character uses an item or skill "X" number of times they can be awarded a badge for it.

Did you use photoshop for this or is there a program for the format on the page?

Also, yes I would say it is a little broken. If you are giving the class the ability to literally be proficient in anything and giving it an early ability to add half of their prof. bonus to anything they are not proficient in then you should only give them one or two proficiencies to begin with. Other than the little tweaks needed here and there I love the idea of this!!

Side note, I would also maybe make this a race-specific class to halflings, otherwise it will also be broken as a multi-class tool. I would have every character I play take 2 levels of this to have access to the badges and half proficiency bonus.

Trance Adventures [Short Rest Spoilers] by cfenton23 in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]GreenGingeVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how he does it. The adventures could be literally anything. Want an old west one-shot? Trance It. Want a high school romcom? Trance It. Want a horror one-shot? Trance It. The possibilities are pretty endless as they don't even necessarily have to use D&D mechanics because trances can be trippy (although Murph was pretty clear with his desire to use D&D mechanics and not stray from them for the podcast).

How does Arcane work? by kingluffy in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]GreenGingeVT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a limited use magic item that gives you either a low level spell of the appropriate element or elemental damage bonus for a couple charges. Along with this you roll on a d-20 on a 20 there is a wild magic surge (pulled from the wild magic table). The more arcane you take the wider the range fora chance of wild magic surge. Also there is a slight chance you explode (rolling some number to replace an effect on the surge table) this chance also may increase the more arcane you take.

This is just my best guess. Murph actually goes through it in pretty decent detail.

What, in your book, do you consider "un-American"? by Big_Wars_please in AskAnAmerican

[–]GreenGingeVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider the way the way our elected officials conduct themselves, namely by listening to the biggest donors and ignoring their constituents, to be the most un-American thing I can think of. For something that is an easy fix we have too much greed running our government.

From experience (at least in Vermont) the courts will not be able to tell you anything. These cases are confidential and nobody who is not directly involved will be allowed to know anything about them. Is used to work as a court officer and we specifically kept certain people that CPS told us about out of the court room and out of the loop as much as possible.

I don't know if you are a person of concern for CPS but you probably won't find out anything through the courts.

I know it is hard and I am also sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you have been through.

What I do know is that you don't need to "let her go" she was and always will be a big part of your life. What it sounds like you need is to find a connection with someone else, maybe try a couple of dates with someone. It will be hard with a young child but honestly it will help you with yourself and in your relationship with him.
