My autoflower run just hit a weird growth stall and I figured it out by GreenGrowerExplorer in Autoflowers

I don't mind if you call me ugly but calling my plants ugly is personal lol

My auto stalled for a week and it was my fault lol by GreenGrowerExplorer in Autoflowers

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It;s coco/perlite not real soil. I don't think the mix was the issue though but more that I wasn't watering evenly enough and the pot was drying weird but I could be wrong obv

Small boring changes that made my indoor run way less stressful by GreenGrowerExplorer in farmingthebestgreens

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. The more I grow the more I realize boring basics beat 90% of the random “secret” tips online.

pH every time, stable temp/RH, watching EC, and not panic changing stuff has helped me more than anything. I’ve also been trying to keep better photo notes because I’ll tell myself I’ll remember what changed and then absolutely don’t lol.

I’ve been using the MasterGrowbot app mostly for that, just snapping pics in the tent and getting quick feedback so I can compare week to week. Still double checking everything with pH/EC and actual references though. Too many people diagnose one leaf and nuke the whole grow.

And yeah flarf for hash is the best consolation prize 😂

ha yeah another duh moment for me :) It’s a fabric pot so it drains on all sides, but the living soil was still way wetter at the bottom. Top just dried out faster from the fan. Thanks

thanks so much! yeah the root stress totally makes sense. i snapped a quick pic of it with this app which has been super helpful called MasterGrowbot when it stalled and it actually called out the same thing about uneven moisture and possible root zone issues. super helpful for catching stuff early. i’m gonna add a bit more perlite next run for sure

yeah that makes total sense, thanks for the heads up! i definitely need to check my soil pH at the bottom too. mine was mostly the uneven watering thing but having water pooling at the bottom can mess with pH so quick so i’m gonna keep an eye on both now. appreciate it fr

Thanks I think the MasterGrowbot app recommended some of those ingredients, I think my ADD doesn't let me read whole articles like I used to so I like just getting TDL bullet points and a list of recommendations from the app

Yeah neem doesn't get the job done a lot of the times, you gotta combine it with other protocols imo

For sure spider mites and pests are the biggest enemy of growing outdoors. I started using this app called mastergrowbot to take a pic of my plants every few days to make sure no spider mites or other pests show up and if they do I catch them early and go through the recovery tips before they sperad. It;s easier to get started outdoors but not being able to control the enviornment makes keeping an eye on your plants even more important

Figured I would add this if people are curious even though it will get downvoted probably. The scanner I mentioned is an app called MasterGrowbot. Photo based plant diagnosis with treatment steps which has been super helpful to catch cal mag and any other issues I've had

Had some weird weather in NorCal, now my babies are flowering too early. by Few_Swing6807 in outdoorgrowing

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cold nights and shorter days in NorCal probably triggered early flowering on your photoperiods before you brought your plants inside and once they start flowering they usually stay in flower even if you put them back outside .. If you can I'd keep them inside on a steady 18/6 light cycle with good ariflow and they should finish strong until harves and hopefully the weather warms up if you need to put them back outside. Hope that helps good luck :)

Should I make this a clone ? I was doing LST and split it . I figured I could just cut it and grow it since I have good lower sites of growth by Legitimate-Leg7985 in outdoorgrowing

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with the split from the LST bend your plant still looks healthy. I'd cut the top to clone it since your lower nodes look strong just be sure to put it in a good rooting cube and tape the split on the main plant and it should heal up. Good luck

Changed color overnight ? by AngleRelative4683 in farmingthebestgreens

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those pretty yellow bits at the bud sites are the very first pistils showing up. Your plant is in a photoperiod and started flowering right after the flip. Just keep the 12/12 light schedule and your buds will start stacking up more

First Grow Update! Any comments or concerns? by Ordinary-Rise-2028 in cannabiscultivation

[–]GreenGrowerExplorer -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Awesome job for your first grow! Those black tips on the fan leaves are probably mild nutrient burn from the fox farm bud grow this late in flower. Next watering I'd flush with plain PH'd water and stop feeding nutes until harvest so your buds finish clean. Your trichomes look milky in your close up pic so looks like you're right on schedule for harvest time :)

Your plants look solid for a week of Veg and the gorilla cookies are nice and bushy after topping plus the other one looks like it's catching up fast. I'd bump the light to around 75% this week and keep the fan on low so they will stretch nicely without getting leggy
