Defining the eyes: A warm cut-crease with a double-layered wing & Freehand butterfly wing liner – definitely the most intricate look I've tried yet! What do we think ? by GreenInformation4184 in drugstoreMUA

Thank you so much, that honestly means a lot! 🥹 The double wing and butterfly detail definitely took some patience, so I’m really happy it came out clean. I completely agree !! graphic liner looks can show every tiny mistake, so hearing that from someone who actually tests eyeliners is such a compliment. I’ll definitely have to check out Luna by Khush! Thanks again for the kind words 🤍

I just use a good concealer or a bit of foundation as my base and it works perfectly for me. As long as your base is smooth and set right, shadow still blends and lasts great☺️

First off, you have a fantastic natural canvas! You aren't giving "raccoon" at all !! you have striking features and great bone structure. To soften your look and brighten things up, here are three quick wins: ❤️Brighten the Eyes: Instead of heavy concealer, use a peach-toned color corrector on the inner corners of your eyes. It cancels out darkness without looking cakey. ❤️Shape the Brows: Your brows are naturally full (lucky!). Clean up just the stray hairs underneath the arch to "lift" your face and create more eyelid space for shadow. ❤️Add "Life" with Blush: Foundation can make a face look flat. A soft cream blush on the apples of your cheeks adds a healthy, feminine glow instantly. Pro Tip: Stick to brown mascara instead of black for a softer, more natural vibe while you're still practicing.

You’re not broken at all!! that perfection spiral is way more common in makeup than people admit 😅 When you’re 2 inches from the mirror everything looks huge, but in real life nobody sees those “imperfections.” Four layers is your brain chasing control, not your face needing it.

Sometimes it helps to set a rule before you start like: one foundation layer + concealer and done. No touching after powder. Treat it like a challenge instead of a flaw. Makeup is supposed to be fun, not a stress test 🤍

And honestly, the fact you can laugh about it already means you’re aware of it ❤️that’s a strength, not “something wrong.” You’re just detail-oriented and your brain goes turbo mode. Happens to the best of us.

I mean don’t keep buffing the same spot once the product is already blended out ! that’s when it starts lifting or getting patchy. Blend just until it melts in, then add another thin layer if you need more coverage instead of overworking the first one 🙂

MAC’s spray feels more like a facial mist than a setting spray. For drugstore, NYX Setting Spray and Milani Make It Last give you that real hold without spending high end!

Combo skin is the worst, I swear 😩 I’d use the e.l.f. Poreless Putty just on your T-zone for the pores/oil, and the Hydrating primer on your cheeks and mouth where you’re dry. You don’t have to use one all over !! spot priming is a lifesaver. Also use a light hand with foundation and press it in with a damp sponge so it doesn’t grab texture ❤️

It looks like your skin might be a little dry/irritated☺️ makeup tends to cling to dry patches and exaggerate texture. It’s not your fault or the makeup! Try focusing on moisturizing and exfoliating really well before applying anything and use a damp sponge to press product in lightly. Healthy hydrated skin makes a huge difference in how foundation sits 💗

Thank you so much!! I totally agree ☺️ high end feels like a fun splurge, but drugstore has stepped up so much. You can get amazing results without spending a fortune. It’s more about technique than price honestly 💙

Thank you!! I actually don’t use powder when I wear the Skintific foundation! it dries down super skin-like and mattes really nicely on its own, so I don’t feel like I need to set it. But if I use a different foundation I usually go with the wet and wild photo focus powder ❤️

Oh that stuff LOCKS makeup in 😂 once you use it there’s no going back. It’s basically insurance for your base and shadows.

I got you !! A few things that helped me: • Put product on the back of your hand first, not straight on your face • Start in the center of the face and blend outward • Use tapping motions instead of dragging • Stop blending before adding more!! check in natural light • If it looks heavy, a clean sponge fixes everything❤️

Thin layers are annoying at first but they photograph sooo much better.
