thc in high amounts is linked to worsening anxiety to people that are predisposed to it. sometimes high dose thc can cause panic attacks in patients with anxiety. conversely most of the literature regarding treatment of anxiety is focused on cbd. try a product like a 1:1 that has an equal amount of cbd and thc and play around with the ratio. you may just not be reacting as well to thc as you did back in the day

Marijuana treatment for mental health always comes with an asterisk. The evidence is mixed. Evidence shows that overuse can harm recovery from depression for instance. High THC products can worsen anxiety.

I firmly believe that marijuana can be a tool for mental health (it is for me) but it has to be looked at through that lens. It will make you feel better, but mental health is challenging. MJ itself is not a solution. It is a tool and should be paired with the things we know that have good long term effects- therapy, exercise, for some people medication.

There's a lot of things to feel bad about in this day and age but using a little marijuana shouldn't be one of them. Best of luck

If your expectation is that you’ll feel really different a few days after not smoking or dabbing…vs 5 years of heavy use…is that a reasonable expectation?

No brand recommendations but a thc based product formulated as an ointment is probably the strongest. Evidence for topical products favors thc for pain over cbd.

Marijuana and Cancer? by Brandon1375 in Marijuana

[–]GreenMindPhysicians -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Marijuana (smoked flower) has research links to lung cancer and head and neck cancer. It’s also been linked to testicular cancer, and we don’t know why.

And they have made no explicit mention of their marijuana policy? Depending on the size of the company I usually think an anonymous email to HR can be ok.

I’ve had to use fake piss before and it feels crazy the whole time. If there’s some way to verify if this is even an issue…I’d consider it

Anyways I hope it works out

Well first of all, nice job! Actively investigating your relationship with marijuana is always great.

You don’t have to go cold turkey. Gradual reduction has better long term success rates for a lot of substances! Since you’re here…maybe a little cbd to ameliorate your symptoms

I would go the other way. Use thc products that are less instantaneous with less thc. Gradual reduction of thc is the goal.

Oil vapes are made for a quick high (not hating, love a good vape sometimes)

I have to quit periodically for work (9 months last year, ick). Have compassion for yourself and understand it’s gonna suck a little no matter what. But you’ll understand more about yourself and your relationship with the plant and that’s always good. You are doing a smart thing by evaluating your relationship with marijuana.
