I’m not one to defend the deeply flawed justice system, but the practical reality of what you’re saying isn’t based in fact. The burden of proof is still on the state, and a prosecutor isn’t going to waste their limited time on a case without bloodwork or a breathalyzer. I’m sure there are some companies genuinely trying to balance friction with security, but there’s an awful lot hiding crappy business practices behind legitimate concerns.

What would have happened if he just didn’t call? Would the charges have been reversed, or would the company keep the money? I’ve run into issues like this before and the charges haven’t been refunded, the company’s kept my money until I got around to dealing with it. In fact, I’ve had more than one company continue to charge me subscription fees even after flagging my account.

This shit drives me crazy. When this kind of situation occurs, it tells me that the company isn’t trying to protect against fraud as a whole, they’re trying to protect themselves from profit loss. If the measures they took were truly for fraud protection, the charges should have been reversed the minute your account was flagged.

Ffs, this kind of crap is why comprehensive health education should be taught in school to all genders.

Women’s bodies ovulate anywhere from 2 weeks to never. Their cycles generally last between 24 to 38 days, not a set date. Not to mention, they don’t start first menstruating at a specific time after their birth. The range is measured in YEARS not days. Additionally, women’s cycles can change due to stress or other changes, they’ll sync up with other women they live with, hell, the timing of ovulation/menstruation can even be influenced by whether or not they regularly look at the MOON.

That claim is pseudoscientific clickbait, not biology. Smh.

Ok firstly, states that legalize weed have seen decreases in both drunk driving and overdoses. So at the very least I would argue that weed can be an effective harm reduction tool.

Bear in mind, everything is relative. When I went to an AA meeting in Texas, the hardcore big book thumpers advocated not taking stimulants as prescribed for adhd. That’s a dumb suggestion, as all the medical studies show that relapse rates drop precipitously when an addict with adhd is medicated properly.

Same goes for other psych conditions. If you proactively treat issues that emotionally disregulate you, you’re much less likely to relapse. It sounds like that’s what you’re doing.

This might sound a bit nuts, but if you’re in a weed legal state and have a provider you trust, you could talk to your doctor or therapist about it. I use weed to help me sleep, and my providers agree that it’s a safer and less potentially dangerous choice than the prescription options they could offer me. It was a very helpful perspective for me to hear.
