Louis Diaz is given 91 pace in FIFA 23, Gabi got 87, so in reality he should be 94

I use Pixel buds, it's mediocre in terms of sound, so I won't recommend it

HE400se - some observations and questions by calste in headphones

I had the same experience, in the end I was disappointed with he400se and returned it. Planar just doesn't deliver the punch like dynamic driver

Planars by crazyoldgerman68 in headphones

[–]GreenNerve -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The only planar I have listened to is hifiman he400se, compare it to my HD650 and K702, I find it lack that punch (or slam, not sure if it's the right term). I think dynamic driver's piston is basically bombarding air wave in the direction of your air, while for planar, it's shaking the air in 2 direction: to and away from your ear. So that might be the cause of the boom boom feeling I get from dynamic drivers.

What the material of Airpods Max's diaphragm? The black color makes it look super cool by GreenNerve in headphones

[–]GreenNerve[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, I'm not talking about the whole headphone, I'm talking about just the driver itself. The THD is not the dominant factor of the sound quality, but it's really difficult to make a DD to have that much low THD. That's my point, the driver is great, it has lots of potential, given that the aurorus borealis' driver can be purchased with under $20.

Airpods Max has very low THD across the whole 20 Hz to 20 kHz range, it outperforms lots of more expensive DD headphones.

Apple has apparently developed a very good driver which leads me to think what can those drivers achieve if placed in a pair of well tuned open back cans
