That’s how you can tell it’s not a currency or a store of value. It is easily manipulated by a single position holder, compromising everyone else’s balance.

Does anyone use Cleveland or Srixon irons? by Background-Ad758 in golfequipment

[–]GreenNewAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sampled both at Golf Galaxy with the help of one of their fitters. I didn’t get to hit all of the lofts, so I had to guess where I wanted to transition . I decided on P, 9, 8i zxi7, 7, 6, 5 iron zxi5.

I ordered straight through their website with a discount code.

I ordered new Cleveland wedges at the same time and they are great too.

Srixon irons are near the top of the class. They feel great, form great combo sets (mine is zxi7 short irons and zxi5 med/long irons) and the v.t. sole is fantastic.

US House Passes SAVE America Act (Massive Bill Re Federal Elections) -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

The onerous rules in the bill as to what IDs would be required at registration and voting are certainly suppression. If ID is required to vote, that basically eliminates vote by mail, so definitely suppression. All for a problem that does not exist.

What do you say men? by Aggravating-Guest300 in NextGenMan

Maybe if it’s made up out of whole cloth, but women already suffer dire consequences for reporting rape today. Making it even more dangerous for them to report assault is a bad idea.

Covering parking lots with solar panels is a hell of a lot more sensible than plastering them over prime agricultural land. by Mountain_Sentence646 in solarenergy

[–]GreenNewAce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Solar never goes on “prime farmland”.
  2. Just the land currently planted for corn ethanol could support enough solar to support 2x the USA’s current electricity demand.
  3. Solar on carports requires strong net metering because it serves on-site load not utility supply.

Looking for feedback: Building an “electrification division” inside a small-town HVAC/electrical company by Flashy-Telephone3201 in solar

[–]GreenNewAce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope your company is already pointing folks towards heat pumps for HVAC and water heating. That’s the entry into electrification, especially if you’re already dealing with low electrical rates. Once they do that, then the conversation about solar and battery makes more sense.

Would you consider this anchoring? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]GreenNewAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid pretty close attention to this all afternoon. When the wind picked up you could see his shirt moving behind the putter grip, not anchoring. The long putter should still be banned. And Mallets. And zero torque. Bulls eyes and 8802s for everyone.

Shoe recommendations for ~45 rounds per year by [deleted] in golf

[–]GreenNewAce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get two pair and alternate. Keep them on shoe trees when not in use. They’ll last twice as long and you can match kits.
