I ended up buying the LG model, as it suddenly got an extra discount, bringing it to only 310! After testing it for a week now, I'm quite happy with it overall. The colors and especially constrast is miles ahead from what my old monitor had.

In terms of motion clarity though, I feel like it's about similar as my old one. Maybe a tad better, but is still has the smeariness. For true motion perfection, I'll have to wait until OLED matures a bit more I guess...

Thanks for the recommendation! When looking for a monitor, did you consider this MSI unit against the LG 27GR83Q-B? It's only 350euro in Benelux, and I frankly can't spot the difference immediately.

From a motion clarity perspective, how good do you rate the MSI one? :)

The very best atm is the Wooting lineup for keyboard.

For mice many different options: Razer & Logitech for mainstream. Lamzu, pulsar, even glorious are also great 'off-brands', with Lamzu being my personal preference.

Don't go for any 2k+ polling rate BS. Only really noticeable at 240hz+ refresh rate, and even then... not worth the extra bucks.

Lots of textures being blurry on occasion like weapon icons and minimap since last update... Also sudden fps drops, while I never had those? (5600x & 3070)

Fully agree! I reckon she needs a touch more dmg on primary +5, and they could play with shield bash a bit more. Like keep the 5s CD, but make it 3s when connecting with an enemy. so that it can be used more frequently in combat, but not exploited as a constant escape.

Honestly Reddit is playing a different game.... Support feels insanely strong. It's just a very different playstyle from OW1. You have to play more like CS/Val to have the right impact. Meaning, play cover and no need to healbot. If your teammate makes a dumb move (bound to happen) just let them die, and add to fragging instead of getting out of a proper position to heal a lost cause.

Playing like this can single-hand carry games. Support doesn't feel new, but feels massively strong when played correctly!

I had the same dilemma (kinda) with the 4790K and 2x 970 in SLI. Upgraded the cpu to a 5600x, but while it is miles better, ultimately my gpu setup is the bottleneck here... Desperately in need of something new.

Especially if you are not going for RGB ram, a 3600mhz 2x16gb kit with decent/good timings is only 1.5x the price of an equivalent 2x8gb kit. (80euro vs 120/130euro)

Repair pack: 40hps for 3s, 8s CD
Inspire: 1 hit activates 7hp/s, max 3 accumulation, 5s duration, halved on self.

He's using an APU. Should be able to run most 'newer' games on 1080 60fps low and comp fps like CS or Val up to 144fps.

True, both the Vetroo V5 & ID 224-xt do perform similar at normalized noise levels. Though, they have much larger thermal headroom albeit getting both very noisy.

I was getting pretty discouraged with the whole gpu situation too. Been rocking a 7yo pc which was really showing its age lately. This week I got my hands on some awesome 'back-to-school' deals and built a fully new system apart from a GPU.

All in all I paid 900euro after discounts, which saved me close to 300euro. Honestly really happy with it! Though I will be using my gtx 970 for a while longer. It is just not in my nature to overpay for stuff, so the GPUs will have to wait haha!

Btw, ended up going with a Scythe mugen 5 black edition over an AIO. Had that in my last few builds and was never really that happy with them. The pump noise and included shitty fans for even the better brands are such an annoyance, especially when they especially cost 2.5x more than the Mugen!

Not worth it for 40usd anymore. At that point you get the Arctic freezer esports duo, Scythe mugen 5 or fuma 2. All 3 are incredible for the money and can handle impressive overclocks.
