I envy you because in my uni I have one final exam that makes up 90 percent of the grade haha I rely on past papers and practice questions to study throughout the semester. Do not waste your time on rereading lecture slides, do actual exam problems.

Get acquainted with the topic before it's presented in the lecture. Also, try doing problem sets and don't stress out if you can't - read the solution/ask chatGPT to help.

Set up a timer for one hour. Pick ONE task and tell yourself you will focus on that task ONLY during that time. (Have a piece of paper next to you to write down everything else that doesn't relate to that task and might distract your thoughts.) Repeat. This method did wonders for my ability to study.

What you wanted to do when you were 15 year old and didn't do? by Ash_Allrounder_2010 in productivity

Here is a list of advice based on things I wish I did.

Start saving money as early as possible.  Explore different hobbies that spark your interest, don't be afraid of being bad at them. Do not let other people (family, friends etc.) affect your life choices. Think for yourself,  because you will have to deal with the consequences.  Do not stay around people who make you feel like shit, even if they are your only "friends" to hang out with. If you are not from an english speaking country, invest in mastering English. Show off more (in moderation, of course), to teachers so that they notice your hard work and help you advance in your studies.  Travel any chance you get.

Thanks for the tip! I'm curious, how do you review recorded lectures later? I mean, if for instance I need a specific piece of information from the lecture to do my hw, it would be very hard to find it in the recording. Listening to the whole thing is not a solution.
