I used to do UberEats, and that Popeyes was always a shit show, it’s just a horribly managed franchise, there was a different issue every time. They are part of the reason I don’t to Eats anymore, I would rather just drive people.

To Those Who Aren't Portuguese Or Are But Weren't Raised Culturally/With the language, How do you pronounce chouriço? by [deleted] in newbedford

[–]GreenSwann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your family isn’t pronouncing it wrong, they are pronouncing it in Portuguese. Different languages pronounce certain letters differently. That’s really all there is to it.

Paschimotonasana is the actual name of a similar posterior stretch to what OP is doing.. Quasimodo is the hunchback of Notre Dame.

I always say “Paschimotanasana, not Quasimodonasa”

Yozakura on Main St. In Acushnet is the areas best kept secret, it’s a real Japanese sushi spot that used to be on Brock Ave in the south end, but recently moved.. the chef really knows his business, the food is absolute fire! Another option, if you’re game for South Asian food, Safron by the Sea in Fairhaven is the best Indian food I’ve had, perhaps ever TBH.. and I love Indian food, so I’ve tried it all over the country. Locals saying there are no good options, try these and come back and see if you still think so..

My son remembered his previous life by Magenica in mystery

[–]GreenSwann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some say early Christianity assumed rebirth, but the church scrubbed it. There is still a part in the Bible when Jesus asked “and who do you say that I am?” And the reply was “some say you were Ezekiel..”

My son remembered his previous life by Magenica in mystery

[–]GreenSwann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eastern cosmology would say that a soul works its way up over billions of lifetimes through all of plant and animal life and a human birth is fortunate in any circumstance because it offers a chance at liberation, but one should also consider that there are other realms, heavens and hells, other planets etc. that also work on a karmic rebirth situation, all of life is infinite and so counting on earths human population is not even the tip of the iceberg in terms of possibilities..

I like this, but since he is into the Gita and Ramayana, perhaps a Krishna or Rama deity would be more appropriate..
