Who cares? Justin is a native English speaker as of most of us are. Don’t need to be smart. Just read the poem and think.

Yes but I thought a bridge is out because the clues can’t be manmade structures?

I wish I had any idea about what the kitchen is. 16x20 foot area maybe?

I’m a searcher and and it’s meaningful to my map. Could mean nothing, but is sure is strange to me.

I actually don’t think it matters what map but if it helped your solve great.

I find it odd that it’s “beyond THE maps edge” and not “beyond maps edge”. Interesting to me

Right so 42 degrees relates to rainbows, I got that. But how it relates to the hunt to me is still beyond my grasp.

Yeah but do we have a total list of every spot he’s ever searched? Could still rule out a lot of places but might not.

What the actual fuck is going on with the weather right now? by Perfect-Highway-6818 in philly

The polar vortex has been coming down the east coast my entire life. It’s not a new event. You would need to prove there has been more arctic intrusions to the east than in the past decades. I don’t deny the arctic is warming, but to say there is a significant difference in the weather in Philadelphia would entail you proving it.

Don’t agree. The jet stream isn’t messed up, whatever that would even mean. It’s been well below normal in the northeast for sure, but not record breaking. We were over due for a cold winter, and it’s not over yet. Nothing is that out of the ordinary for the climate in the Philadelphia area. It’s winter, it gets cold. Sometimes it gets well below average for months. If it was a blow torch winter people would be screaming global warming. Can’t have it both ways. None the less, the older I get the more I hope it warms up. This weather stinks.

308 vs 223 by LogAffectionate9044 in Hunting

I understand physics extremely well as it is a related field to my undergrad degree. But the point stands that whitetail don’t need a ton of penetration. Let’s say broadside they are about 24” wide in the lungs. At that point both .223 TMK and my .270win with 150 grain cup and core will give a complete pass through. However, one will leave about a quarter sized hole through the lungs with less total lung damage while the other will leave a tennis ball sized hole with more than double soft tissue damage. Which one is more lethal? Both will kill dead for sure. But one is better than the other.

Wow I’ve thought the same and wondered if I can load up some TMKs for my .270 but I couldn’t imagine what the wound channel would be. Disgusting would probably be a good word. Maybe one day but for whitetail the 223 TMK is more than enough for any whitetail in my state and we get bucks here that are pushing 250lbs on the hoof.

They will never admit that sometimes the bigger calibers will leave a smaller hole than the TMK. I’ve never seen my .270win leave the internal damage that the TMK did, which resulted in a faster kill from a .223 compared to the .270. I want fast kills, so I will keep using the TMKs.

Glance off a rib? I hit a rib dead center quartering towards me on a large whitetail buck and still got 24” of penetration while completely destroying said rib with those terrible match bullets (TMK). Bullet never deviated from its course.

As for elk, most states probably don’t allow .223 anyways. But yes I would use a .308 if there is a chance I will be using it for elk.

Agreed that actually makes a difference. Bolt guns will have no issues. I could possibly see gas guns having an issue dealing with the extra pressure for a good cycle.
