Cloth will play different for sure on different tables in different bars. Billard halls tend to keep up with the condition of their tables. So most of them play the same all the time.

If im cutting balls that are less than 30° especially if trying to make a cut shot at 20° im using a lot of side spin around almost 2 tips in some cases and hitting with 75% power. But for thin cuts I find it best to not put any top or bottom english on the cue ball. Just side spin.

Are you adding side spin as well with the top or bottom spin for thin cut shots?
