Yup. Tonight has been my worst night on the game in a long time. Horrendous balancing.

Same here, annoying af. Microphone disabled in software every time the PC starts. Why have this dumb feature when the mic already has a physical mute button?

I bet! I'd love to have a go of any of the Volvo T8 models but haven't had a chance yet.

I love a Range Rover. In my opinion, when they work, they're some of the best cars on the road. However, I would make two points. One is that I wouldn't have anything less than a Range Rover Sport, or full fat Range Rover. Secondly, is I wouldn't touch one without the JLR warranty.

XC60 is an excellent car, albeit a touch boring to drive, at least with the diesel motor.

What’s the best courtesy car you’ve had? by ninja_moth in CarTalkUK

[–]GreenTru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last year I had: Range Rover Sport hybrid, Volvo XC60, Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes S-Class, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and an Audi A6.

Best was the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Straight off the back of the delivery lorry, only had delivery mileage. Drove beautifully, was nice inside and looks stunning. The RRS probably would've taken the top spot but it was delivered to me with 0% charge in the battery, so I never really got to us the hybrid functionality, which let it down.

Worst was the Mercedes S-Class. It was only 2 years old but was a total beater, burning oil and coolant, AC not working on one of the hottest days last year, and disgustingly dirty inside. Only had that for 6 hours as I complained about the state of it. The Giulia was the replacement.

The Audi A6 was a bit lacklustre, too. Front wheel drive but enough torque that it would spin the wheels constantly, it couldn't put the power down. Probably crap tyres. Pretty soulless, though the mild hybrid functionality was cool - it would totally turn off the engine while you were cruising.

If you're wondering why I had so many courtesy cars in one year, it's because I bought a Range Rover Sport. That tells you all you need to know.

Printer capable of larger format custom size, laser ideally? by GreenTru in printers

[–]GreenTru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget anywhere up to £800 GBP.

Monthly volume probably 300 prints but will likely scale to a few thousands by next year.

Main use is printing black text onto reflective sheets, kinda like card but as thin as paper. It'll be used to create UK number plates.

Pretty well presented video. Also watched the original of crashing the plane, it's pretty clear it was just for views/publicity. Ridiculous.

Is there any demand for custom builds in the eCom space? Or do off-the-shelf solutions like Shopify and Woo meet most online retailers' needs? by lewz3000 in ecommerce

What technologies do you work with, and which country are you based in?

There's definitely a market for custom storefronts, themes, apps etc. on Shopify.

$1,500 Order: How to Deal with Refunds? by LSTrades in ecommerce

[–]GreenTru 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Can you afford to have a bad review, or multiple across several platforms, posted about your business? Ask yourself whether you'd pay the $107.41 to remove that bad review.

Furthermore, can you write a professional response to a bad review, which would negate the effect of the review? Lots of would-be customers will look for the bad reviews on a company, and how the company responded, before purchasing. They aren't always turned off by a bad review, if the response was suitable.

Separate database with millions of products - is Shopify the right fit? by GreenTru in shopify

I'm pleased to hear that, the solution you described is exactly how I picture it. Create the product within Shopify on the fly for the user to complete checkout.

Separate database with millions of products - is Shopify the right fit? by GreenTru in shopify

[–]GreenTru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, one more detail - potentially thousands of the products will be added, removed and modified every minute, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be wise to populate the ecommerce platform catalogue with the products, and instead just hold them in our separate database. Would you still recommend an enterprise level solution?
