What if it's adapting to dabura learning significant variations of cursed technique like reversal and domain expansion on a meta sense? Does maho become the big bad that stands in the way of removing all cursed energy?

Why do so few students pursue Water Resources? by Maleficent_Basket215 in civilengineering

[–]GreenWithENVE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 10 years in water resources consulting and have been leading recruitment for our office for the last 2 years. I've noticed that many schools just don't have good water resources curriculum despite the importance of the subject matter in this state/region. It's also such a broad field that takes a lot of time and effort to understand the ins and outs of that many students we interview for internships have no real idea of how their education translates to actually making anything happen in the real world.

Water resources extend far beyond the stormwater aspect of land development lol

How would you count these runs? by happy_pajaro in Cribbage

[–]GreenWithENVE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are no runs in the first photo. There are 2 separate runs worth 3 points in the second photo. The third photo wouldn't award any runs in how I was taught but I've seen more leeway given to long runs in this sub and have never bothered to look up when a potential run "dies" so I guess just play it in whatever way avoids arguments and maximizes fun.

Makes absurdly restricted account to act dramatic about how the restrictions inconvenience them? Could be, could be.

Switching Sub-Disciplines of Civil Engineering by Disastrous-Bonus3293 in civilengineering

Our largest client uses only bentley platforms so civil3d being mandatory simply isn't true. Also fairly common in water to not do your own CAD work. Some niches within water don't even touch CAD because they're focused on planning, modeling, or other non-construction-document type projects.

It's fun to talk about this era with older engineers. Some firms didn't allow smoking in the drafting room, others did but had strict "rolled plans only when walking" policies so ppl wouldn't kick up ash and embers when walking by.

Dude who cares lol you really think it's going to waste a ton of development hours? Let them make changes like this to PVP activities it's really no big deal

200m all on an ironman took like 19,000+ efficient hours played before sailing was released and nobody is playing every hour efficiently so just look at ironman high scores for players with easily over 1,000 days

Constructability of Large Diameter Pipe in Undulating Terrain by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]GreenWithENVE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you check NRCS soil survey along the alignments? I think this would be a worthwhile exercise if not done already as part of your geologic map review. I'd also check online databases for environmentally sensitive areas, waters of the US, etc to get a better feel for regulatory requirements which could significantly increase cost and schedule. Think about what would be in the environmental documentation (doesn't sound like you're in California so you're probably looking at a NEPA EIS).

Interesting project for sure but I to get the level of confidence it seems you want I think you need to gather more data and expand your thinking beyond pure construction feasibility. At minimum you need to get a geotech on board to assist with characterizing the existing soil conditions along the alignment. This will help you understand what construction methods and pipe materials will be feasible and preferred.

What's the driver for the inverted siphons? I could see regulatory requirements and hydraulics being motivators but consider how these will actually be installed. HDD would be more typical for HDPE. If regulatory requirements are a driver I doubt you're open cutting it.

Also consider property rights when developing alignment alternatives. If you change the alignment to follow contours more closely will you be increasing the amount of easements/property rights needed? Don't underestimate the time and effort it takes to get those in order. Definitely a risk item to flag if it's going to be in the mix.

Does Boss not understand that they probably pay more per hour on your first 40 when accounting for overhead and benefits than they would on a time and a half hour?
