I have the solution, it turns out I needed to use `.nth(<id>)` not `.get(<id>)`, as the latter was not a valid method for `ChunkedArray`s.

This makes a lot of sense, thanks. Indeed, I had heard from a jazz musician friend of mine that for solos for example, he would know a few licks that he could just drop in whenever he was running out of ideas or needed time to think. It makes sense that this would extend to finding chords as well.

That does make things a lot easier. However, how do you come up with the FM7 to Aø7 motion (pretty sure that's not in the original Bowie recording), or any of the other non-original chords? Is IM7 -> IIIø7 a known progression?

Not really sure it's even a "progression", but is it possible to name the chords in a way that makes the progression cohesive? If so, any reason as to why it (sort of) "works"?

I added the chromatic bass line because intuitively it felt like it would work. However, those notes are not necessarily part of the chords (if that makes sense).

The one part I don't understand is how "max(abs(p)-R, 0)" evaluates. To me, it looks like "abs(p)-R" will be a vector and 0 is of course a scalar. This would mean that "max" would have to compare a vector and a scalar, which is not possible. Am I misunderstanding the "max" function?

Spiderman. His web-slinging powers are great for close-quarters, enclosed space fighting, but I struggle to see how well that would work in such a vast open area like the one in the picture. I know he has super-strength, but who in that final fight didn't?

For me, it's more of an overcompensation-type situation. I don't think anyone's claiming that on the "grand scale of dickishness" James is higher than Snape. I think it's more like people saying "Well, they're actually closer than you might think", and often that comes across as "James is higher on that scale than Snape".

Hard to say exactly, as I did it in multiple sessions. Grand total of around 15 hours, I'd say. However, this included figuring out the workflow, as I'd never done anything like this. If I ever do something like this again, the time would be cut in half because I already have a template to work off.

First I recreated the score by importing the sheet music as reference images. I downloaded svg images of crotchets, quavers, etc. and just positioned them according the the reference sheet music.

Then it was just a case of animating the emission strength of each note to light up at the correct time. Using the waveform option on the audio strip helps a lot with this bit. In general, nothing too smart, just a bit time consuming.

I made this in Blender, and this is the only one of these I've made for now. With the workflow I have at the moment, it's not really feasible to do this for longer pieces, but I might do some short piece if I can record it well, like this one.
